Hope you antivax nutjobs had fun while you could.

I'm hardly antivax, but don't see the point of getting vaccinated for Covid - and you think 40% of hospitalizations from COVID currently being vaccinated people should change my mind?

You know either number if remotely true would be terrible ineffective, right?

If hospitalization were the only the thing being measured then yes. However you also have to consider mortality, severity of illness, level of care required (i.e. floor vs ICU), length of stay, etc. There are multiple things where vaccinated vs unvaccinated come into play.

This comes from the BBC web site.
quote:

So far, more than 46 million people have had a first vaccine dose - almost 90% of the adult population - and more than 36 million - around two-thirds of adults - have had both doses.
If 90% have had at least one shot, then 90% positive would make it a wash.Since 60% of the positives have had at least one shot, that proves that the vaccine is working.

I'm a Trumper and I believe all this is bullshite. Bottom line the vaccines work and there's no reason to think they do not because of this study.

OP's own darn link

Hope you antivax nutjobs had fun while you could.

Article was corrected after OP.

quote:

rather 60% of hospitalisations from COVID are currently from unvaccinated people."

Now do deaths, it could have easily been corrected to "rather 60% of deaths from COVID are currently from vaccinated people"
Now it's still deceiving because most of the deaths are people above 50 and it's an incredibly low number compared to prevaccine.

Slamming anti-vaxers is nonsense.

That is the logical assumption.

I’ve heard lots of stories about people experiencing bad symptoms for weeks and months: no taste or smell, extreme fatigue, low energy, etc. No telling what the real death count was in India from the delta variant.

the 60% figure applies to the unvaccinated, not double vaccinated

Some part of that 60% are people that have had at least one of the two shots. This is very carefully worded.

Yeah, how the hell does that even happen?

I can see people possibly catching it after being vaxed, but winding up in the hospital?

Lefties always have a talking point, and when that one stops working they just move onto the next one.

If they didn't constantly lie, I might trust them a little.

Because most people in the hospital WITH Covid are not there BECAUSE of Covid

If the next-generation vaccines are leaky, they could drive the evolution of more-virulent strains of the virus." He said it is critical now to determine as quickly as possible that the Ebola vaccines that now are in clinical trials are not leaky -- that they completely prevent the transmission of the Ebola virus among people. "We do not want the evolution of viral diseases as deadly as Ebola evolving in the direction that our research has demonstrated is possible with less-than-perfect, leaky vaccines," Read said.

Amazing how Reuters changed that article to completely the opposite in less than an hour after you posted this

Thank God you copy and pasted the original article before it was rewritten to fit the agenda

Red flag? When they completely rewrite an article and delete original it makes you wonder???

If those numbers are remotely close either 40 or 60% for jab, especially for two jabs.... its basically ineffective. Its not really giving you any good percentage and when the next mutant strain comes around its a good chance you're back to square one.

In the meantime, enjoy your heart inflammation, and whatever else they even figure out is wrong with the guinea pig that you are long term. Not sure why everyone would take a drug that hasn't been tested when the disease targets the people that are in their 1-3% of their life anyway.

Its almost like science tells us not to give huge amounts of people a drug that hasn't been properly test.

P.S. we'll see if we get better data and more sources

The main issue here is all the true believers are tripling down on the untested unproven vaccine, they will never admit there are a myriad of sound logical scidntific reasons to NOT get or WAIT to get the shot.

This is a simple risk vs benefit evaluation.
