Not just that. Why do you think they support what's going on in Glasgow?

Romans 1:25 "They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised.

Worship of the Earth, like the progressives do, then in turn leads to this...

"26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

North Point is now closer to 50% Gospel/50% progressive whatever it is (I would call it progressive politics).

The signs were there pre-covid, but, NP's reaction to covid revealed their embrace of the culture over the Word.

The redemptive blood of Christ and our need for repentance is unspoken in so many "evangelical" churches today. That message makes so many uncomfortable and pastors fear to preach it as it may drive the masses and their contributions away.

We left a 90/10 church 6 years ago as we saw the trend towards wokeness. It was so hard. We had been members for 20 years and deeply involved in many areas. We tried to help steer it back on track but we felt led to find a more gospel centered church (we did).

Since we left, the church has gone more openly woke, but has kept the public rhetoric down in the last six months as they lost members and $$.

I can't know someone's heart, but I find it hard to believe someone who identifies as a "Progressive Christian" is actually Christian at all. Those are not compatible ideologies.

One thing I can guarantee….99% of the Progressive Christians…politically, they are American Marxists.

Tell me you don't know what the Bible teaches without telling me you don't know what the Bible teaches.

This is a particularly interesting one. I would have been in that number as a "conservative Christian" many years ago. But the last 20 years has actually made me respect honest secular people a lot more than prog "Christians," as a rule.

A person can't be a Christian if they vote Democrat.

God doesn't support abortion.
I'll have to disagree with you here about Democrats not being Christians. Yes, God hates murder, and yes, God hates the sins that the Democrat party generally supports (homosexuality, transgenderism, earth "worship", etc.), but whether or not a person is a true Christian is based on whether or not they have a true and saving trust in the work of Jesus Christ on the cross and whether or not they believe His work was for them.

There are a lot of true believers that are very misled on doctrine and who are very unsanctified in their lives, while there are a lot of unbelievers who perform good works and are full of good doctrine.

We must be careful not to paint with such a broad brush when it comes to who belongs to Christ. I agree that it seems very inconsistent for a true believer to support the policies of the Democrat party, but political party adherence doesn't save anyone. Only Christ does.

Meanwhile you're in a thread about Christianity exhibiting hatred for your brothers in Christ (hopefully) and lying.

You could just say "progressive" Christianity is there to subvert Christianity. You literally can't be Christian of the Bible and be liberal. Hell, you probably can't vote at all anymore and be Christian.

I wouldn't go THAT far, I would say only conservative Catholics (all sects of conservative Catholics not just Romans) truly have an understanding of the fullness of the Gospels and Christ's mission.

Christ as the sole path to salvation is the lynchpin of Christianity.

Not at all. Abortion is a sin against God as it is murder of God's image-bearers.

I was cautioning against the blanket statement of saying Democrats cannot be Christians, when that is patently false due to a true, saved Christian being defined by their faith in Christ's work on the cross, not identity with a political party.

Abortion, including its legality and support, is the worst public sin our country has committed and it needs to be repented of individually and publicly as a nation, but the sin of abortion does not disqualify a person from salvation. Jesus died to save sinners of all stripes. They do need to repent of their sins and trust in Christ, though.
