re: Congressional Black Caucus pushes for reparations commission ... a vote is comingPosted by SlowFlowPro on 7/1/20 at 2:23 pm to Jjdoc
since US money is worth nothing anymore, i'd be willing to support Congress putting together $2-3T if it means the whole racism thing dies with it

They are literally replaying the civil rights....Like LBJ stated if they pass this Democrats will get the Black vote for the next 60 years...wellll he was close its been 56 years and they are now losing it...
i bet they think if they pass this bill with reparations they will continue to get the black vote for 60 years

What the frick would they do with that money anyways to be "repaired".
They aren't going to buy anything substantial. Spend it on necessities like food or rent or cigarettes for awhile, maybe?.
Fine, then once this is done no more white privilege crap. Everything has been "repaired"

What proportion of the labor force that pays taxes is responsible for the oppressive Jim Crow era? Further more can you quantify the proportion of income and wealth disparities amongst races/cultures that are a direct effect of slavery/Jim Crow in the 1600's through the 1960s?

Reparations is the worst possible thing that could ever happen for African Americans
I can’t even imagine what a disaster it would be in only a decade or so

She needs to look her and her like minded retards in the mirror for this.
Leaders of Chicago, NYC, Baltimore, Detroit.... Need to fricking pay up then.

Honestly, if this gets pushed through I can see people turning more Republican, especially those on the fence
Most voting Americans don't even know where this money comes from. They think we have an unlimited supply grown from trees out back.

This is going to be a cluster frick.
Who pays? Why?
Who receives? Why?
Why stop at slavery? Why?
Pay off future generations also, as they suffer from slavery, and did not get their cash.
It never stops!

Easy fix. Give the 13.4% of the Americans that qualify for reparations the state of California. That comes to a little over 2 acres for every individual.

They will never be able to adequately or legally define who is black and have that definition pass constitutional muster, which is why I take zero of these efforts seriously.
Its just pandering. Better to yawn, laugh, and move on rather than engage and allow the issue to stick around.

I have so many questions about how this could possibly work.
Would someone like Barack Obama be eligible? He was born post Jim Crow and does not descend from slaves.
Would someone like Robert Johnson or Oprah be eligible? Despite being oppressed most of their lives they overcame and became mega rich gazilllionaires, and beloved by the masses with more influence than most privileged whites could ever dream.
Would professional athletes be eligible or black doctors or professionals earning well above national median salaries be eligible.
What about African immigrants only recently naturalized?
What about African Americans who descend from slave holders themselves?
What about those that have received public benefits already, do those net off against the potential reparations?

NO, they are not. The Democratic Presidential ticket and Democratic candidates will receive more than 85-90% of the black vote, as usual.

How is it possible that Japanesse Americans were able to recover post WWII?

Define housing discrimination. I already know the answers to most of these questions FYI. Liberals/Leftists believe that all banks didn't want to profit off the backs of black people because they were super racist. Does that make sense to you? Is it possible african americans were and remain less credit worthy therefore banks don't want to risk loss of principal on house notes? No way couldn't be, banks hate making money almost as much as they love discrimination right?
I've looked into the effects it appears post Jim Crow homeownership rates started to fall. Can you explain?
Can you also explain how incomes were rising faster prior to the end of Jim Crow for both female and male african americans? I'm trying to figure out some of the other brain busting disparities y'all care about. Let me know and let's look into it.
