Until then, carry on with these limited military actions that rely heavily on air strikes versus wholesale boots on the ground.
Just say war dude. It doesn’t make you anti-Trump.

Jesus……. Is this really the position of the MAGA people?

Trump even called it a war.

I honestly have a hard time calling this a war. I’m old enough to remember watching my Grandfather read the casualty lists from Vietnam in the local newspaper each morning.

It sorta has to be if they want to stay loyal to a person.

The constitution likely intends the action currently taking to be decided by Congress. Unfortunately the intelligence needed to make the surgical strikes successful cannot be shared with many in our our members elected to Congress. It takes large amounts of money to be elected to these positions and many get funding from other countries. They are expected to return information like this to there country for the funds given. It is certainly true that both democrats and Republican presidents in the past have taken similar action without congress acting and it’s embarrassing for the democrats to ask for war through congress now. Who was the last President to ask Congress for war and when?

Just because we’re kicking arse and haven’t sent ground troops in yet doesn’t mean we’re not at war.

It's funny how the constitution is no impediment to bombing Iran for our ally but all of a sudden the constitution is like a border wall when it comes to deporting Minneapolis Somalis.

Tell me you dont know the constitution without telling me you dont know the constitution.
You do know that any POTUS can send troops anywhere for any action upto 90 days without congressional approval. That is why they are the COMMANDER IN CHIEF.

This is because Congress only plays party politics instead of doing their job and balancing the other 2 branches. Supreme court is well on its way to neutering itself too with only partisan judges. We have thrown away the founding fathers' brilliant system of checks and balances in favor of giving a president too much power and now risk the all powerful presidents being corrupt or compromised . Does anybody really think Joe Biden was making any decisions himself?

Why do people not see that as an act of war?
An act of war is not a war and I can’t believe just how many people are too stupid to understand this.

Just because we’re bombing the frick out of someone doesn’t mean we are at war either.

What…..the position of actually knowing what the frick we’re talking about? It isn’t a bad position to have. You should try it sometime.

If a nation bombed Mar a Lago and buried Trump beneath the rubble the Gravy Seals would damn sure be calling it an act of war.
But they won’t because

we are literally blowing leaders up in their bunkers with cruise missiles.
Trump is just operating how mankind has always operated since the beginning of time.
Big dogs eat little dogs. Taking out Iran, taking out Maduro.
If someone or a nation somewhere doesn’t like it then they can do something about it.

What is the threshold for destroying government buildings and unaliving government politicians before it is war? Asking for a friend.

Military action doesn't constitute a war. Until we're sending platoons over there by the dozens, we're not at war.
I hate this naval gazing and “no true Scotsman” bs over whether or not this is a war. I don’t care if there is a declaration or not. If one country is using violent military force against another nation’s military and infrastructure, it’s a goddamn war. There’s a lot of stuff between a limited war and total war, but it’s still a war. If it looks like a war, sounds like a war, acts like a war, and kills like a war, it’s a f$&king war.
And I voted for less war while the neocons and neverTrumpers cheered for one. We should be purging neocons and imprisoning them for war crimes and embezzlement of defense funds lost in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Ukraine, not giving them another shot in the arm invading Iran. Which, don’t pretend we’re not going to do. There’s a playbook here, and everything is proceeding according to it. I have seen this same bs time and time again. I wanted to believe Trump’s administration would be different, but here we are in Bush 3.0.
I hope it ends well. I hope the regime collapses with minimal American casualties. I hope it is replaced by a liberal democracy that ensures freedom of speech and expression with rights and education for women. I hope Iran’s proxy terror networks and nuclear programs are permanently dismantled. I just don’t believe that we will get the result we want without sacrificing thousands of young American men, nor “under budget and ahead of schedule.”
If Trump’s administration manages to pull it off, I will be first in line to congratulate them. I just have seen too much over the past 40 years to have high expectations that what they’re attempting can be pulled off without further escalation followed by a protracted occupation.

Let me know when we deploy 100K boots on the ground in Iran.

So did they, which is why they can't call this a war.
Never mind if Hegseth calls it that.
