Clarissa is badass... since the day shite hit the fan - out reporting from ground level... chaos, uncertainty - even to the point of her life... very courageous and absolutely one of the best reporters to cover what's going on inside. Glad she's safe and appreciate the risks she took to report.
I seriously wonder if she got the digits of any of the handsome and friendly men she was lauding praise on and promoting as great guys who were just misunderstood by stupid, provincial Americans, many of whom haven't even left the states they live in their entire lives.
To her, the Taliban likely represent the raw power of masculinity and she started to get the fever a little bit when surrounded by them. Power and friendliness is an aphrodisiac to many women.

Haha, do they have little trenches in the floor to lock down cargo?

have the gist of what she did just by watching that one segment where she praised the good guys Taliban for being really friendly. She didn't understand why they would chant Death to Stupid Murica when they were actually quite good and outstanding men and super, super friendly.
She observed that they were 'being all friendly', but chanting Death To America at the same time, and that it was a bizarre combination.

I hope y’all realize the people saying she did a great a job are talking about all her reporting the last couple weeks. The friendly statement, whatever she really meant by it, was embarrassing for CNN. Isn’t that a good thing? Along with all the other great things she did by showing and telling the world what was happening live, not “five days ago”? She’s been pretty much the only American reporter really in the chaos. Her reporting has also proven a lot of the info given by our government officials is false.

Exactly. In her view, and the view of CNN of course, she thinks that the Taliban are being falsely painted by racists and bigots in America to be like feral animals who weren't quite human.
To her, they were handsome, polite, friendly, and quite good to her and she didn't know why they were chanting Death To Stupid Muricans. She may have just thought they were doing it for her camera and didn't even really dislike Americans at all.

Same here. But part of me now thinks there isn’t much hope for getting honest reports from Kabul with her out.
Call me a cynic, but maybe she was called back for the exact reason of a her doing her job.

Also without her/CNN running around, how much longer will the Taliban continue not killing anyone as Joe believes?

Admittedly, I've not watched a full minute of CNN over the last year and a half. F CNN!

Not everyone who works for CNN is a monster.

What does that plane smell like?
Just a guess:
Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam, international arrivals departures when the charters are returning families to the Middle East and Turkey for their annual visits.
Hint: you smell them before you see them.

How so?
Because they told me not to go past the sports bar outside my hotel past dark. What does that mean for her?

She wasn’t intimidated at all. I remember worrying about Arthur Kent in Saudi during the Gulf War; I worried about her in the same way.

I certainly never watch CNN, but I’ve seen some of her reports and they did not support the left’s, government’s, or CNN’s narrative. Some of the comments in this thread that got whacked were out of line. People can say whatever they want about that statement, but her courage in that chaos and some of the issues she has exposed that our government claims don’t exist have been remarkable.

I would be ok with this, but I would also be ok with the empty chair from Clint Eastwood's speech at the 2012 RNC taking Fredo's job.

quote:you would be surprised. I’ve worked in the Middle East and it’s hard to tell how attractive they are because they stay covered up all day everyday. Had this one girl from work who never was uncovered but one day she was and she was quite nice. Had a nice fat arse that you never would have expected
It’s because she’s probably the hottest woman most of them have ever seen in person, and at the end of the day the Taliban are all simps.

And she didn't get finger banged by a crowd of 'mostly friendly' Tolly-bon soldiers.
Good call, CNN.
