Ummmm.
It was way more than that.

Did they fire the author?
That person is clearly incapable of journalism, which is a requirement don’t ya think?

I’m under no illusions that CNN is 100% neutral. Nobody is. I just personally believe they are usually more objective than Fox or MSNBC (incredibly low bar admittedly).
what a shame they didn't even have time to go to the russian tea room and enjoy central park.
mickey your political instincts are for schit, moving forward you should ignore them and do the opposite. it only took you 6 post to admit the headline was "soft"

You would have to fire 90 percent of """"journalists"""" if being incapable of actual journalism was a firable offense.

But it was no big deal, right? Why did CNN get so emotional that they pulled the post and issued such a statement? What's the big deal?

Not that it wasn't already known, but thank you for continuing to expose yourself as a hack.

Looks to me like CNN is getting into the ragebait game

Eat it up how? Y’all think that headline is giving them sympathy or something?
it sorta deflects from the most important facts of the story in exchange for providing a "talking point" for their inbred idiots who don't read past the headlines - but would go to a protest supporting their "right to protest"

We are talking about the same type of leftist morons who called a terrorist a "austere religious scholar" and put one of the Boston marathon bombers on the cover of Rolling Stone using an innocuous photo? Right?

facts: two Muslim men currently residing in Pennsylvania were made aware of a scheduled “anti-Islam” protest in front of the NYC Mayor’s house, decided to make incendiary devices and drive across state lines to throw them at the protesters, then made a conscious decision to carry out their plan but were apprehended in the act by NYPD
headline: two “teenagers”, who could have been “enjoying the unusually warm weather” had their “lives changed forever” when they were arrested for “throwing bombs at an anti-Muslim protest” - no mention of whether they were with the protestors or against them, no mention of their own religious or political persuasions (both facts which were clearly known to the reporters/headline writers at the time)
retraction: the original headline “failed to reflect the gravity of the incident” - while restating that the pair were “throwing bombs outside of NYC Mayor Mamdani’s home”
it wasn’t a “soft” headline, both it and the “retraction” are deliberately misleading

This displays such an extraordinary degree of disingenuous dishonesty that ordinary language feels inadequate to capture the severity of it. I genuinely struggle to find words strong enough to convey just how profoundly misleading and indefensible it is.

Apparently CNN thought so.

Not really something to get all worked up about imo though.
No?
What if the story was about two teens who beat a gay couple to death specifically because they were gay, and it said the same thing?
Would you think it was worth getting all worked up about it then?
(BTW, if you say no I simply won't believe you.)

Do you think these two teens would approve of you being gay?
