What agenda? Their agenda literally is a ticking clock… just killing time as long as possible without doing anything at all.
That’s always the GOP priority. When in power, run out the clock and hope no one notices or cares at re-election time. Not in power? Vote no… unless paid to vote yes.

Yes, but there are very few contested races these days. Once these guys get in, they dig in like ticks and are hard to extract. We need better candidates, and more competition.

Congress doesn't like to pass major legislation in midterm years bc of the impact it could have on their election. This is a historical thing, not just bc the GOP is feckless. The party in control has the first year to pass the President's agenda and that's it. The Dems fricked around and passed Obamacare in 2010 in a midterm year and they found out.
