Until Barry Soetoro and Michael sell their mansion on Martha’s Vinyard there’s no reason to have the slightest concern.

Humanity is responsible for 1/2 of that.

Are you sure? Can you show me the proof?

How do you trust a science that does not allow peer review?

peer review

Imagine you are a “peer” in the climate research community, and you like your job, and that job depends on you getting funded. I’d imagine it’s pretty hard to get grants if your expert opinion is there is no climate concern.

Nope. It is an guesstimate by the crew collecting data. They simply didn’t discount it.

They seem reasoned and data driven.

Judging from the last 3 years I’ve determined that scientists know about as much as Jimmy down at the pulp wood mill.

Explain to the backwoods hayseed how oceans can only rise in certain areas, but not others.

I can only guess, but I would imagine that the Earth spinning at such a high rate of speed would push that water to the equator (centrifugal force), thus creating a bulge..

Those are called tidal forces, and they always exist, regardless of the temperature.

What I am understanding is that they are saying because of the melting ice caps, the sea levels will rise, but not everywhere. Not sure how that works.

The scientific method requires that all data be deemed suspect until it is properly corroborated. Take a look at this video where an interested reader had the audacity to look into the claim made by National Atmospheric & Oceanic Administration (NOAA) that the summer of 2021 was the hottest on record. This is a really eye opening video and gives some insight as to how data is manipulated to forward an agenda.

And that’s not even accounting for errors in temperature measurement and consistency in record keeping.

Could be 1 degree, .5 degree, 0 degree, 2 degree.

I certainly don’t trust technological measurements from 100 years ago, whether they are temperature records, or something else.

Even that number is suspect. Watch the video I linked further up this page.

Melting sea ice does not add to sea level rise. Melting land ice does.

Land also rises and falls. It’s falling a lot in Louisiana (9 mm per year) due to subsidence. It’s rising on the west coast at many locations due to the subduction zone where the continental plates meet.

This is not true. The scientific method is a process. It doesn't require anything other than the implementation of the methods of science.

Climate "science" is largely inaccurate modeling based on biased data. It's not the application of the scientific method at all.
