Yes. They are called Santa Ana winds. We have them every year. They are strongest in the late summer and fall. Basically high mph offshore winds coming down from the mountains surrounding LA and blowing all the way to the ocean.
100 mph is rare, but not unheard of.
We had 2 extremely wet rainy seasons ( December through April) the last 2 years but almost nothing
since last April.
Very dry current conditions, plus uncontrolled brush and vegetation growth, add in the unusual 90 to 100mph winds and voila...here we are.
Has nothing at all to do with climate change.

Earths climate has been changing for 4.5 billion years. AT one time long before man and machine the CO2 was 6 times higher than current. Lots of climate changes have happened from both planetary cycles and natural disasters of volcanoes nd meteors….

I was just replying to your post as the latest one in the thread; it didn't seem to me like you were blaming it all on climate change.
