Bernie is a dumbass like most Democrats. I guess the mentally challenged LA mayor that cut the fire department budget by 17 mil had nothing to do with the situation.

Horse shite Bernie. I was out there the week of 12/10....and got rained on.
Correct. It rained in LA in November and December.
I was trying to look up the rain fall for 2024
there is an article from April 2024 that they were having record rain fall, like 1890 breaking rain fall...they had a very wet spring
then It fell off, it rained but they are behind normal levels the last couple of months
I can't explain 100 mph gusts of wind....do they have that issue from time to time?
It's being reported they don't manage the water as they should.
I don't know but it's Winter and that place is a blazing furno
It's a combination of factors I would guess
blaming it on climate change, well, I need someone wiser than me to tell me what the climate is suppossed to be...
what is causing the change?
Change has always been

Well LA County could have beat this climate change by removing debris and undergrowth
Ehhh, I spend a lot of time out west. Removing undergrowth and debris will work, but we don’t have the resources to do it everywhere. Use those techniques near L.A. and near key parts of national forests. Other than that, the solution is to let fires burn.
I’ve driven through areas that have been cleared of debris, and after 30 minutes of driving you see no more signs of debris clean up. Then an hour later it starts to dawn on you how big this problem is. Then an hour solution is fires. We’ve always had them. They are a necessary part of the ecology of the forests.

okay but subdivisions burned, that are not in the forest...

F everyone who brings up this climate change shite regarding the California fires.
Posted on 1/9/25 at 5:30 pm to Seldom Seen
Most people don't deny the climate has changed, will change and is changing.
The disagreement is what role, if any, man's activities play in that.

Climate change is real.
Climate crisis is a hoax.
Posted on 1/9/25 at 6:00 pm to Houag80
no. He knows the folks who vote democrat will eat it up. He knows that all they have to do is cry climate change and it washes away all of the bad policy changes they have made for the last 3 decades. And he knows that they won't have to change a single thing because democrats will demand higher carbon taxes and will never hold the democrats responsible for their failures. This crisis just reinforces their beliefs even though the root cause has NOTHING to do with their climate change god.

Or or Bernie trump can tell Cali do better and actually deploy real fire management techniques.
Interesting how other states can handle these fires better

I heard they had above average rain fall and did not fill their reserves as they should have
Los Angeles has received over a foot more than normal rainfall in each of the last two years. Bernie, as he is in many cases, full of shite. He'll say something lucid from time to time but he does love to stay on message with his bullshite.

Or, and just hear me out here, it's just bad governance.
