there an appropriate time to deport non-criminals?

No. But I think we should be prioritizing it. Go after the people who have committed other crimes first. We aren't going to be able to deport all 11 million or whatever the number is so we should be judicious about the ones we deport first.

Liberals love to shout this from the rooftops but lets take away all the military complexes, the military tax base, the ports (yes, the ports will be useless if you cant transport through California to the rest of the country).

If California wants to frick around, they wont like the find out phase because the U.S. can end them rather quickly.

I think we need to secure the border. As far as deportations go I think we should only be trying to round up the worst criminals first. Going after every random illegal is what leads to this type of backlash.

When you break the law (illegally entering a foreign country), you can expect to face the consequence of being returned to your country of origin.

This isn’t unreasonable. Crying that it’s inhumane for a country to defend its system of law is a red herring.

Because these riots are not happening in Burbank, Pasadena, Santa Monica, Calabash or Orange County. The conservatives there see the communities it is happening in as mostly self contained to a few areas where they don't go.

Of course you literally just made that up

So if conservatives are 40% of the population you don't think they pay more than 50% of the taxes?

What fraction of the 60% leftists pay NO taxes?

I did not make up jack shite. I possess more than a 3rd grade level ability to connect fricking dots.

I must have missed it. I unfortunately am unable to read every comment on this board.

It was literally in the post to which you just replied.

what is your stance on illegal immigration?

I'm not a fan of it and don't support it.

But I'm also not going to become an emotional basketcase when trying to fix it like so many on here are.

This has become what I call a "Dear Leader" scenario, where people are judging your reactions to ensure their expected level of propriety, and failure to meet this level means, obviously, that you clearly support the out-group/policy they're melting over.

It's called the Dear Leader scenario to reference the infamous forced crying after Kim Jon Il died

If the secret police thought you weren't crying hard enough, you were arrested as a spy. Same concept here.

This statement will not save them from the mob. Stupid and cowardly elected officials in action.

When the mob, if not put down and allowed to survive, is through with ICE and attacking feds....

They

Will

Come

For

You.

Stupid people who do not know history on this planet.

No it wouldn't, if California succeeded and lost the US government and companies that are there their GDP would plummet.

How much of that is propped up by the US military or major US companies that would move their HQ back to America.

I wholeheartedly disagree that this is the same concept.

But I’m not going to continue trying to discuss this with you, as you clearly have diametrically opposite views on immigration and law enforcement. And your confrontational, defensive tone implies you’re simply arguing for the sake of arguing, and enjoying it.

As a 4th generation Texan and south Texas property owner, I’ll just say that I’m beyond weary of the lack of support from the federal government over the past several decades, and now welcome and appreciate the current actions by this administration (which is far from perfect).

Our schools, housing, and medical facilities in my home state are stressed beyond capacity. Criminal activity is rampant, and drug trafficking is out of control. It has to stop.

We are prioritizing it. That doesn’t mean you ignore everyone else hanging out with a dangerous criminal.
