This could be true.
But also, Iran was closely partnered with China and China did nothing to help. So it’s also been proven that an alliance with China is not the best route.

Yes, and the destruction we inflicted on Iran's military makes Taiwan less likely to happen. We are not the only ones whose population has gotten fat and comfortable, China thought Hormuz being shuttered was bad for business... Wait till we shut off Hormuz again, Venezuela, and the strait of malacca. We can cripple their oil supply, their economy will immediately bellyup and they will have riots in the streets
Russia and China put a lot of hopes into Iran's military build up because they wanted them to be able to lock us into a costly fight. Unfortunately for them just another paper tiger

It would guarantee our ardent defense of Taiwan. All those CHIP Act hubs are due to be online and in full scale manufacturing mode by the end of ‘26.
If they play to their strengths, the long game. They take Taiwan through reunification without a shot being fired, when we no longer need Taiwan’s semiconductor business.

They want to subvert and claim Taiwan from the inside. The easy way. You know, like they're doing here in the US along with the Muslims.
I've seen a China/Taiwan conflict "war-gamed" many times and the result is always the same because the world gets involved. Iran is decimated so that ally is gone, and the only other ally they have is Little Rocket Man in NoKo. That's not enough. Taiwan alone with their favorable natural defenses and geography would put up a good long fight but eventually fall... but with the help of the western world they become unbeatable. China would be sanctioned and isolated from the entire world and go back to the 1950s in months.

Taiwan going down would make the Iran Oil situation look like economic prosperity.
Would absolutely destroy the entire world economy. It would be just as bad as attacking American infrastructure.

Invasions are costly. Taiwan can hit them very hard as they cross. Plus who is to say what will happen. If China thought they could do it they would have. They aren’t ready. It is not inevitable.
