Gen X from NEOhio.

This should have been done along time ago.
But it was a different world then than now.
No regrets.

Another FU to another Gen whatever the hell you are. I’m a boomer who’s celebrating the Trump/MAGA victory with gleeful anticipation that the restoration of America is at hand.

Imagine making home ownership even more unaffordable, increasing risk of job stability, and lower purchasing power and thinking it primarily impacts boomers..

I’m a Boomer and I’m retired and I am taking a hit, but I also don’t have my entire IRA portfolio tied up in stocks … anyone who does at that point in his life is a fool … so I am not panicking, I am riding it out because what goes up generally comes down, and vice versa.

I could start a reply thread but I’ll just take a shite in yours. Boomer here and doing very very well. Retired at 55 and have a pile of investments and real estate worth a few shekels. The hate on Boomers schtick is old and worn out. Try a different approach to insult. You sound like a sour loon democrat with the sniping.

Yes. I just don’t buy a ton of things I don’t need.

Yes. Been maxing my IRA for years and putting more in a regular brokerage. Mostly I buy S&P and dividend index funds.

Just my parents. I’m in my 30’s.

The main reason why boomers are statistically becoming the most left wing voting bloc is because the status quo works for them

this is underrated as the answer to a lot of things

You believe boomers are becoming the most left wing voting bloc?

Dude, tell me you're kidding.

GenX, 51, doing fine. House will be paid off in 3’yrs. Only debt is one reasonable car note. Maxing out my 401K. Have about 8 months income in savings. Made more this year than ever before. Taking wife on Alaskan Cruise in couple months and it’s already paid in full including airline tickets.

In.

Cars and travel trailer paid-for. House and lake condo will be paid off in 3 years, then I'm retiring at 54.

I'm a Pre Boomer. Grew up working in cotton fields in N Louisiana.
Went to college on GI Bill.
Sent two boys to college without a student loan.
Oldest Grandson is a Sr in Computer Science. On Scholarship, no student loan. Plans to get his Masters.
His younger sister starts in the Fall.
My other son's oldest daughter is a Freshman in college, plans to be a Veterinarian.

Not bragging, just giving an example that it is still possible to raise one's economic status, if you have a desire/plan and stick to it.

One other tidbit. My wife and I helped each one get their first automobile when they went off to college.

GREAT COUNTRY! Hope we don't screw it up.
Probably not another country on the Planet where I could have had this success working 9-5, legally.
