Natural immunity was six times stronger during the delta wave than vaccination, according to a new report from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The report, published Jan. 19, analyzed COVID outcome data from New York and California, which make up about one in six of the nation’s total COVID deaths.

The study has limits — namely, it was done before the omicron wave and doesn’t factor in any information about boosters. It does, however, broadly agree with studies from other countries.

Vaccines were more effective at preventing infection or serious illness than natural immunity from prior infections before the delta variant became the dominant strain. After delta became the main strain, vaccines alone grew weaker against the virus and natural immunity got much stronger. This could be due in large part to the fact that vaccines began wearing off around the time delta spread, according to the study.

“Importantly, infection-derived protection was greater after the highly transmissible Delta variant became predominant,” reads the report, “coinciding with early declining of vaccine-induced immunity in many persons.”

Also CDC: but we support mandates for the unvaccinated, regardless of prior infection.

This is a setup.

They’re going to come back and say with omicron, natural immunity has drastically fallen.

I can see them saying natural immunity doesn’t stop someone from being reinfected, especially since omicron is so contagious. If we continue the trend of only worrying about hospitalizations and deaths (not cases), it shouldn’t be taken as a big deal when they say immunity has fallen.

In other words, I’m prepared to be gaslit, so it won’t affect me when it happens.

Natural immunity is going to be many many times stronger from omicron because most folks who hav it have been vaxxed.

Natural immunity will NOT protect you from the Delta variant!

Do they know how delta natural immunity did during omicron? I’m interested in knowing how omicron natural immunity might do for the next released wave.

Doctors, already held in high regard for obvious reasons, took on a sense of infallibility during this “panicdemic” beyond questioning. In the process, many are destroying their previous high credibility.

I don’t believe this. Natural immunity has always been better.

There were a couple “manipulated” studies by CDC that “proved” this. There was an all encompassing Israeli study that showed NI was 5x better than vaccine. That is in line with this.

Everyone caught omicron. I guess the important thing would be how many were hospitalized.

Once people started to move around again, their natural immune systems boosted. The worst thing you can do to a human’s natural immune system is cut it off from all attacks by isolating it.

Is the CDC going to be kicked off of Youtube, Facebook and Twitter?

Enquiring minds want to know.

Since I’m relying on my immune system vax or not, I’ll just focus on keeping my immune system healthy and only vax when and if my immune system fails.
