As Mr. Limbaugh says about Jewish liberals who vote democrat even though democrats are openly hostile to Israel, liberals are liberals first. Catholic dems will vote democrat, but it's worth a shot I guess.

Don’t worry - the Catholics in this house aren’t voting democrat!!
I haven’t voted Democrat in years, and finally brought the siblings over - my mother who goes to Mass everyday and hasn’t voted since 1980 registered to vote to vote for Trump in November
All of my crazy Catholic Church buddies wear their MAGA gear to Mass - so don’t worry too much! A priest I know even preached at a Mass last month about the evils of the Democrats - I hope this is a trend in the more devout Catholics

It’s worth more than a shot. The Catholic vote determines the winner of the presidential election. Pretty much the ultimate swing vote group.

It’s almost criminal that the Catholic laity have to be the moral leaders of the American Church because American Bishops take a SJW pass.

I agree that dems are dems first and catholics second.
Another example is the christian population overall. Trump has been the most outspoken President in our history for christians, and while he has the majority vote in polls, there are still millions who would vote dem in those same polls.
I bet if you peeled back the onion you would find those voters are christian.....and black. In other words, black (aka democrat) first, christian second.

As a devout Catholic I have sometimes struggled with the church and it's liberal leanings. Honestly, this goes back so far to the turn of the last century when the Irish and Italians came to US. It was the Dems that supported the Catholic Church and Catholic Church helped them survive.
The newer members of the faith, say less than 50 and those who don't live in New England, see things differently. My parish in Atlanta is not a liberal and mostly Republicans.
The thing that really bothers me as a Catholic is how do these people receive communion when they are living in God's Grace.

Yes it’s unfortunate - but we were warned by Bishop Sheen - he basically said this (I wasn’t around when his tv shows were on)
