Has anybody been able to find out the number of immigrants and illegal aliens the Vatican has living there?

what’s there to be sympathetic about? it’s just flat out bad policy. if they actually cared about these people, then they’d warn them against the dangers of illegal immigration, and most importantly, they would be calling out the bad actors who create instability in their home countries.

The Catholic Church has no business in how a country maintains its borders. Caesar and God are two different entities.
I agree but just remember historically it’s the God who blesses the decisions of the Caesar before Caesar even moves.
There’s more control than people want to comfortably admit and there’s a reason.
This has been the case in multiple crisis in our history. Hell, the Nuremberg trials wouldnt have happened without the Pope.

The article lists all the popes up to Benedict XVI. Afterward we know it goes to Francis then Leo XIV
Not every Catholic agrees with that.
Example: When the line of popes was broken
Excerpt:
quote:
The Man of Sin.
Once Paul VI became a formal, public, heretic, officially, on November 19, 1969, when he publicly rejected the pleas of the Traditionalists and the Ottaviani Intervention, he became automatically excommunicated and there was no papal election to replace him. Therefore the line of popes was broken in violation of Vatican Council I, which teaches Papal Infallibility and Perpetuity of the Papacy. As a result of this action, Paul VI identifies with the Biblical “Man of Sin,” in II Thessalonians 2. Which in turn, instituted the “Great Apostasy,” (Schism) and the Reign of AntiChrists which can only be concluded with the Second Coming of Christ on judgment day, the last Pentecost Sunday.

I like how they omitted the adjectives “illegal” when referring to the so-called immigrants in question.

No sir. We funded the invaders. Catholic Charities was our “subcontractor”, and making money hand over fist.

quote:I disagree. Prayer is by its nature a worshipful action, which is why it's always included as an element of worship in Christianity. Prayer in the Bible is always associated with faithful or faithless worship: prayer is always directed to the right object (God) in the right way, directed to the right object in the wrong way (hypocrisy, faithlessness, etc.), or directed at the wrong object (false gods and other idols). No where in the Bible is prayer mentioned apart from worship (praising God, confessing sin to God, giving thanks to God, or asking God for something), even if it is in private (Matt. 6:6).quote:
prayer is an act of worship.
that isn’t always true
What I believe is happening with Catholicism is that they have added a non-biblical teaching and practice regarding prayer, so that the word, itself, is redefined to include merely asking someone something (prayer is much more than that, as I just listed), so that it doesn't get labeled as false worship or idolatry. The Bible doesn't support this view.

The Catholic church is neither a government organization or established by God. Early Christianity was hijacked by the Roman Empire and used to control the people and consolidate power.

I'm not Catholic... but I am a Christian... you don't think God works through and in spite of the machinations of men?

The Catholic Church figures that immigrants being able to succeed in America and will donate more to their church so it’s always about the money with the richest association in history.

The Catholic Church should be going after democrats for spying on Catholics and Christian’s in the USA. Democrats have it their way there will be no more Christian’s . I was raised in the Catholic Church but I am not a practicing Catholic now because of their involvement in politics.

The Catholic Church needs to be seen as champions of the poor else no more little peoples' support.

You do realize that Jesus himself made a mere mortal man the first Pope of the Roman Catholic Church right?

I'm sure some money trickles elsewhere and up the chain, but those other entities also have their own donation streams. I don't donate to those.
My parish collects very little beyond it's budget, and is often short. They are not sending very much elsewhere.
