Your audit does not count. You are not independent.

Have you requested and been shown the results of an independent audit?

When you first heard rumors of pederasts within the clergy, I bet the local parish leadership told you "nothing to see here" and you bought it, right?

I'm literally an independent auditor

There was no fund for protecting or relocating criminals, much to your disappointment.

I can't disclose a ton, but if you have non retarded questions, I can try to answer them.

Remember, these are the same people that told you pederasty within the clergy was a myth.

you know maybe in more liberal parishes and/or dioceses this might happen, but in all of the ones I've been apart of, it doesn't

Just a note: Catholics don't NEED anyone to go to God....it's just like a person knowing a person is about to go into surgery and them saying "I'll pray for you". All Catholics do is ask Saints to pray for our intentions to help us. We still ask God directly.

It's interesting in these posts how they devolve into a catholic versus a cocksure protestant. Understandable in that in a recent vacation to Scotland, we learned how much the Scots hated the catholics. Some of this carries to this day. I was a Presbyterian until I wasn't. I converted to the RCC later. I have to use a filter sometimes in the proclamations the bishop and then the priests make. With the accession of Pope Leo who devoted his much of his life to work in Peru, I understand his approach to South and Central American and Mexican Spanish speaking people.
And as an American, I simply can't be convinced large scale emigration into this country is a good thing. So I wish they would not try to shame us. For those of you who's church has a large presence in South and Central America, what do your leaders think about the immigrants that have come into our country?

We don't in any way worship the Pope by the way.

Just curious, since, technically, The Vatican is its own country. How many Muslim immigrants have THEY let in?
Ackshuaally, twelve, in 2021, twelve. So there now, you take in 12 million.

Once again, you demonstrate your lack of theological understanding, Catholic, or otherwise. The crucifix (ie. with the corpus) serves as a reminder that without the suffering of Christ on the cross on Good Friday, there is no resurrection on Easter Sunday (which is the holiest day of the year for Catholics too). Through the sufferings of Christ and His resurrection, the human race was again allowed entrance into heaven, and Satan was thwarted. It also teaches so many other lessons, among those is the fact that for every evil act, or act of suffering God brings forth His redeeming grace for good.

I'm guessing that as a Christian, that you enjoy the Nativity scenes at Christmas, you may even have one in your home to celebrate the occasion. Guess what, Christ is now no more in the manger than He is on the cross, or in the tomb. Again, reminders.

Swing and a miss...

I guess you didn't need any person to baptize you either...you just dunked your head and became saved.

Jesus had another baptize him. I did the same.

Do you go to confession? A mortal man in a booth? Do you ask the priest for absolution?
quote:

Absolution is a sacramental act where a priest, acting in the place of Christ, grants forgiveness for sins in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This authority is passed down through the Church from the apostles, and it requires the penitent to confess their sins, be sorry for them, and intend to amend their life.

No mortal man can grant you forgiveness.

Yeah, you might want to do a little deeper research on that.

Papal Succession

The article lists all the popes up to Benedict XVI. Afterward we know it goes to Francis then Leo XIV

The priest acts in the person of Christ (In persona Christi).

sorry, were the Apostles not mortal men?

Now, if you want to say that there is no Apostolic succession and Christ just gave that power to the Apostles for funsies and it ended with the Apostles...well then that's like your opinion man

The Catholic Church has no business in how a country maintains its borders. Caesar and God are two different entities.

The Apostles were given divine gifts by Christ himself.

Your priest was not.

I remember another mortal whose followers thought he had divine rights and powers. Guy by the name of Jim Jones.
