Caterpillar to relocate its HQ from Illinois to Texas after 100 years

The company announced the news on Tuesday that it would be moving to Irving sometime this year and would be relocating most of its staff. The company told Fox News that it believes most of its roughly 230 Deerfield corporate employees will move.
It also said the move would allow employees to have access to multiple high-quality school zones as well as suburban and downtown housing areas.

Illinois is a consistently blue state. HQ was located in Deerfield which is basically Chicago. Blue county I believe.
So…probably mostly Dem. All the areas outside of cities are red. Just like most places.

I’ve been with Cat for three decades. Most vote Republican. There use to be a lot of Democrat support among the hourly Union guys, but with the way the Democrat Party has surged further and further left, the rank and file union guys have seen the Dems for what they are.
