Political suicide? I doubt anyone on the left including the media would care. They would be all for it.
Union suicide and civil war is what it would be. The first thing they would do is outlaw guns then censorship of anything conservative and then the whole country would be over in a flash.

It’s political suicide because it’s inevitable that before a new court could truly interfere at a large scale, the other party would come back into power and then pack the court more. And then back and forth.
And guess what. If it becomes so slanted that one party truly does take ultimate, permanent power? With how divided we are. My bet is it’s basically secession and civil war time. I doubt severely if democrats added a bunch of new senators and justices that deep red states basically wouldn’t escalate even further.

Can the republicans find a way shut down the government indefinitely if they try to do this? And Carville expects the dems to take the house and senate which in his mind means the dems do what they want to do forever.
Aren't the Democrats the ones claiming that it's the Republicans who want to weaponize the judicial system? Packing the Supreme Court with liberal judges is the ultimate weaponization of the judicial system.
