No, you cannot be mentally ill filth, spew the things they spew and believe.

No, you cannot be a Christian and a Democrat. Democrats actively advance the will of Satan.

End all social welfare programs, and stop giving money to religious orgs. I like it.

I understand the argument that the church should stay out of politics when the discussion is about tax rates, healthcare programs, defense spending, or foreign policy. Those are largely matters of statecraft where faithful Christians can reasonably disagree. But moral questions do not belong outside the church. Issues such as same sex marriage, especially when the law can be used to compel a church to act against its convictions, sexual immorality such as gender swapping children, abortion and any laws that define what a society considers normal and acceptable must be addressed.
Speaking to these issues is not political activism. It is part of the church’s responsibility. The church is called to be a light in the darkness, and silence on moral truth is a failure of that calling.

all that is required to be a Christian is to accept Christ as savior.
one can be saved. one cannot be a maturing Christian nor a Christian who pleases our savior or Heavenly Father.
Most Christians do not read the Bible nor pray much. they too are baby Christians.
Faith apart from works is dead.
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."
"On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?"
"And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness'".
- Matthew 7:21-23
Genuine belief is both transformative & restorative. It's not just a declaration you get to make and saying the words gets you in. The Gospels & NT in general constantly talk about how you must pick up your own Cross daily to follow Christ, and that we're running a marathon, not a sprint.
Works alone do not grant salvation either. But you can judge a tree by the fruit it bears. If someone professes to be a Christian, yet supports many of the outright evil policies, one might even call them doctrines, championed by Democrats then, and I fully admit neither I nor any man can know the heart of another, but I fail to see how someone can be saved, regenerated by the Holy Spirit, and yet continue in such wickedness. And there's a difference between slipping up & repenting, which we all will do, and constantly committing a sin over and over again without remorse or repentance.
Not only do I think it's become practically impossible to be a fully bought-in Democrat and a Christian these days given their positions on a myriad of issues, but I think following that party & supporting such policies actually opens one up to extremely dark forces, as we saw in the aftermath of Kirk's murder.
Or as we saw with the trans shooter's drawing of himself looking into a mirror and seeing a demon.

You must think Republicans don’t get abortions, or engage in homosexual sex, or adultery, or any other activities that are prohibited in the Bible.

A devout scripture reading Christian would never knowingly vote for a political party that advocates for the murder of the unborn and the maiming of underage adolescents.
I for one, could not.
However, I am focused on what is involved in being a born again.
I am defending the position that faith in Christ is the only requirement for new birth and salvation.
I do not think we disagree politically.

It's fair to point out that Republicans don't typically make those behaviors central in their platforms.

Jesus wouldn't have preached about how we must live our lives. His message would only be "follow me". But it was more than that.
Your lukewarm Protestantism:

Greg Locke left his wife for his church secretary so I don't think he is a moral compass for anyone.
Due to my personal convictions, I couldn't vote Democrat, and I find most leaders of the Democratic party to be reprehensible. That being said, no political party is going to fully align with my faith. A friend's dad once told me that sometimes you have to hold your nose and vote because there aren't a lot of great politicians. I imagine some Democratic voters are Christians who hold their nose and vote although I would imagine the amount has shrunk by a lot.

THIS is exactly why it's past time to start taxing the churches.

It’s fair to point out that we’re all sinners.
And central to Jesus’ teaching was accepting everyone, including sinners and those that society shunned.
Matthew 7:1-5
New International Version
Judging Others
7 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

If beliefs line up with what is grossly supported, they’re not Christians. Lots of people consider themselves “religious or Christian” yet the fruit says otherwise.

I'm guessing he said this after they passed out the offering plate?
