It’s so great in California. Then why are those assholes moving to texas in record numbers. More fake news.

I'm always interested in that. Why I love me some tan lines, cause it means I'm getting to see what the bikini was hiding.

California -- Putting the "Gross" in Gross Domestic Product

Cali can keep their impressive growth in revenue and shite littered streets.

California is run by Democrats. Democrats lie.

It’s not what you make, its what you keep.
Now check out debt levels
One means your economy is healthy, the other doesn’t.
Can you guess which one?
Debt by state.

You can manipulate the numbers all you want, 2020 California’s GDP was -3.5%. Their state is in the toilet. They have the largest population so the fact that their economy is bigger isn’t impressive. I used to live there, nice weather, but stupid people have run it in the ground.
TX was -3.5% and CA was -2.8%. There was no state better positioned to rebound faster than CA due to its technology sector. Read the article.
There’s this belief telework and businesses leaving will be the downfall of CA but that’s not going to happen. CA had a $76B surplus and is issuing tax rebates to families.

What they are showing is that states that shut down did better supposedly than those states that remained open.
That is absolute nonsense. States that shut down got more government money because they damaged themselves more from the virus.
They overcompensated states damages from the virus. This means states that got damaged the most by their lockdowns got overcompensated for their self inflicted wounds more than those that didn't get damaged.
Its all part of the democratic plan.

Not in California dollars, you wouldn't

And I would rather have my house and acerage instead of a jail cell sized apartment in San Francisco for the same cost.
I mean… in urban California vs most of the south… you would pick the wrong choice.
It’s like a quarterly earnings report of a big failing company. “Wow! We had a lot of revenue this quarter!!”” “”Uhh… Mr. CEO…. What about the expense side of the income statement??” “Well…. Uhhh….”

That GDP demonstrates an impressive creation and concentration of wealth, amazing really.
Now lets discuss the reality of California for the non-Ruling Zuckerclass:
Falling wages
Incredible wealth disparities
A shrinking middle class
Crumbling social order
Dramatic increases in crime
Dramatic increases in homelessness
Insanely high housing costs
Illegal immigration
DA's who refuse to enforce existing law
Intolerable traffic
Middle class exodus continuing
Retirement exodus continuing
Confiscatory taxes
Energy shortages and energy price increases
Water shortages
Failed schools
Covid Fundamentalism
Truly horrible political Class
Even worse bureaucratic class
unsupportable retirement commitments
I could go on for days...
But yeah, the RULING CLASS is getting absolutely stoopid fat with wealth.
Congratulations?

Doesn't GDP include government spending?

California's federal, state, and local debt brings California's debt total to over $1 trillion. According to this report, the debt would cost each resident of California $33,000 or each taxpayer $74,000.
Read the end of that quote and you quickly realize how many homeless and illegal aliens reside in the state of California

Without government bail-outs Cali. would be swimming in a sea of indebtedness. Many of the pension plans were on the verge of insolvency, before Cali. was rescued. The fact is, California has the highest rate of poverty in the country, and they are losing population and businesses at an alarming rate. This article was from The Opinion Page of a left-leaning news organization. It should be met with a great deal of scrutiny.

Now do job growth. (Much less income inequality and poverty rates).
Here. I’ll help.
It’s a little easier to generate income (and concentrate it in the hands of very few) when you make something once and can effectively scale it for almost nothing, ie, software.
