One million sounds like a big number.

You might be right. However, I wouldn’t depend strictly on Social Security for my retirement. We should never ignore the power of compound interest.
Return on The S&P Index. Historically, between 12 % and 14 % annually.
There’s a 2 % dividend that pushes it closer to 14 %
If it’s 12 % the money doubles every 6 years. It’s 14 % the money doubles every 5 years. In either case, $1 thousand dollars becomes more than A $ million dollars in 65 years. The power of compound interest is a very important force. It’s what creates wealth.
BTW;

The Volatility Index is trading lower today. That’s a good sign for equities.
Most markets are down this year.

The S&P Index is up 5% YTD. That’s the broadcast measure of health of the Financial Markets. I’m sure it will be up by at least 20 % by year’s end.
Our financial future looks great.
My retirement thanks you.

It’s amazing how many people don’t understand your proven method of equity investing. It’s like they are incapable of learning anything that’s useful. I’m convinced their negative attitude will keep them poor forever.
GT Nerd is amazingly dumb. His comment is one of the worst I’ve ever seen.
And your brain is extremely small.
Pretty easy for a guy who made a bazillion dollars in Hollywood.

He was a very popular actor. He made a bazillion dollars for those in Hollywood.
