Also said we are on pace for highest turnout since 1908 when 65.4% voted and we could surpass that number which would make for highest turnout since 1900 at 74%.

I don't think it hits the highest turnout numbers.

There should be ZERO surprise the early voting numbers are big. In part, that probably does show signs of significant enthusiasm. But by and large it has almost EVERYTHING to do with the "shamdemic". Virtually every state has made it easier to early vote. From extending the days early voting is open to allowing mail in voting. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised to see that the election day voting numbers will be some of the lowest in history.

As for democrats holding a roughly 2-1 advantage at this point, that shouldn't be surprising AT ALL. First, Democrats often "win" the early voting numbers. 2. Which group is likely to me more terrified to show up to vote in person on election day?

With the lack of visible enthusiasm for Biden it is hard to believe this is necessarily an increase in democrat turnout. It may just be a shift in voting time.

just curious of your process.

He has no process, he’s just talking out his arse. Republicans should be scared. Higher turnouts usually favor Democrats. Americans know they really fricked up letting Trump win the first time, it’s not gonna happen again.

If there's any higher turnout, it's going to be an increase in Trump voters.

Yes. Remember, dems who write these articles will believe anything that confirms their biases.

Covid is clearly shifting voting patterns. Well likely have high turnout, but we always seem to ramp up turnout from cycle to cycle. Dems have themselves convinced that high early numbers are people frothing at the mouth to oust Trump. There's simply nothing to indicate that.

If covid fears have driven mail in and early voting, and dems are more afraid of covid that republicans, expect election day to be a red tsunami. Will it be enough? I think it will.

Not looking good for Trump. frick

The problem is Covid is the reason for a lot of EVs. Turnout on ED will simply be lower. I don’t think we see a higher turnout than usual.

On a positive the numbers in swing states look ok. The large discrepancy could be due to many blue states having 2-3 weeks of early voting and some red states have only a few days or none at all. Mississippi doesn’t do early voting for example

Early voting doesn’t reflect anything about expected high turnout

I really have assumed Trump would win this election, but the more I read about turnout so far leads me to believe I may have been wrong all along.

I don’t believe so either. My wife is voting for Biden. I asked her why and she said because he’s not Trump. I asked her if she heard about the Hunter Biden mess or anything about Ukraine and she said no. She didn’t watch any of the debates or townhall interviews. She heard about how Trump acted in the first debate. She believes Trump is an anti-masker.

I imagine she’s like a lot of white, educated, suburban women. Uninformed and holding a grudge over some of Trump’s behavior and comments. Zero insight on what’s best for the country and what’s best for our lifestyle going forward. Reads too many blogs on social media and feels like she’s making a difference for justice in the world.

Here’s to hoping the minority vote can make up for it. Trump needs blacks and Hispanics to break his way.

I know 4 registered Democrats that voted Republican down ballot.

These stats are meaningless.

If what you say is true, I'll be blunt: Your wife is an idiot and you need to divorce her.
