Must be a progressive. They say the exact same thing about socialism
"Socialism has just never been done the right way."

Weird. Drugs were harshly cracked down upon in communist countries.

If there is a market big enough, people will take the risk. You should have learned this the first month of micro
The only way to put a dent in the drug trade is to go after users, the trade will dry up and go away.

am just speculating that this new policy is centered around dominating northern South America rather than about stopping drugs.

How well has our global war on "narcoterror" worked?
About as well as the War on Terror. We're bombing Venezuelans while the Mexican cartels flood this country with fentanyl manufactured and produced in Mexico. If you're serious about stopping the flow of fentanyl in this country, declare war on the Mexican cartels.

that’s cute; when have we ever tried stopping drug trafficking with force? and how is this like socialism?

Why not kill them all?

I read 90% goes through Mexico.

No one who understands basic economics is worried in the least that Trump will end or significantly disrupt the drug trade this way because its absolutely impossible.
No one thought that he would basically shut down illegals coming into the country because according to you “it’s absolutely impossible”. People today still wonder how the pyramids were built. When there is a will there is a way. I am sorry you cannot comprehend that. You are the most pessimistic mfer on this board. All you do is say “it cannot be done and I read an economics book, googled Austrian economics, and talked with my local junior college economics professor to prove it”. You are a joke Roger.

Right but aren’t the cartel bosses knowing their drugs aren’t making it to their destinations? That’s big bucks per drug boat lost. They’re stupid to just keep sending them

Yes, the original prohibition.
The Progressives sold us on the idea that the jails would empty if booze were illegal. They lied, the jails swelled and we had to build more.
And most of Americans have learned nothing from that.

How does He feel about young teens smoking Marijuana contaminated with fantasy and dying and Roger the Shrubber angry that someone is attempting to stop this?
After all the lies from the Autopen Adimistration, I was looking forward to Trump 2.0 being more straightforward. The invocation of "fentanyl!" as a justification for imposing emergency tariffs on Canada without Congressional approval was the first time I began to sense that this Administration would bullshite the American people also (Canada is behind even the European Union as an exporter of fentanyl to the US.)
NOW, fentanyl is all of a sudden a major concern coming from South America? Nothing I have found has verified that. From what I could find almost all "foreign" fentanyl comes in through Mexico.
Happy to be wrong about this, but is there any independent proof of fentanyl from South America being a serious threat to the US? If they actually seized any of these boats and they showed fentanyl, I would be less skeptical that these executions weren't really about American security concerns.

Dude is absolutely broken and I am not sure he can recover from it. He lurches from one outrage to another.

This has nothing to do with drug trafficking. 0% of fentanyl is from Venezuela, and whatever cocaine from there is heading to Europe or West Africa. Source: Trump's own DEA. This is ALL about regime change and oil. Get educated.
