Anyone with half a brain understands this isn't really about the war on drugs. Same with the show of force against Venezuela, the 40 billion to Argentina, the taking over of the Panama Canal.
The bigger picture is Trump asserting US dominance in our own hemisphere. Most folks today aren't capable of comprehending large amounts of information and reaching a conclusion.
The Marxist propaganda machine and social media has conditioned their consumers to only see one "breaking news" event to the next.
Some around here are able to understand what I'm saying. Trump is so far ahead of the curve, simple minded folks allow themselves to be misguided.

In his mind, there is know reason to do away with the illegal drug market because it will always find a way to import drugs. Well my reply is, build a wall and sink the boats coming in.

No one who understands basic economics is worried in the least that Trump will end or significantly disrupt the drug trade this way because its absolutely impossible.
You can take 100% of the fentanyl and a new synthetic would pop up in a lab in the USA overnight.

I think less harshly of drug smugglers than I do the average politician in DC. Drug smugglers are meeting an actual need people have.
