You're a blue haired, tatted dirty looking chick aren't you?
You can admit it. There's a least one on this board that's into that sort of thing.

I was a Michelob Ultra guy in the summer, but I've switched to the local beers and will never go back.

The very words "Bud Light" have become synonymous with the face of that tranny they put on their product. It has become iconic re the whole political and culture war, and will be for the duration.
A full and sincere apology and rejection of the Woke cultural narrative, admitting that they succumbed to the government (Fascist) pressure to bend the knee, might resurrect their image. But with the current Administration in power, they won't and can't do that.
Like the Free, united and secure version of the USA, both had their time, but they are gone.

I'll never drink another A-B product ever again.

It used to be my go to cheap beer but I haven’t bought any since that whole fiasco.

People need to understand that boycotting just one product isn't enough—you have to boycott the entire corporation. I know it can be challenging because only a handful of corporations literally own everything.
Not really. Big brands have dedicated resources and those people felt the heat. Why should Jimbob at the plant bottling another brand suffer?

Its ok to say that you like Bud Light and think it tastes good.
quote:I guess this depends on who you think "Bud-Light" is. If you think Alissa Heinerscheid was Bud-light, then your statement is clearly correct. I do not. This was not a company wide stance. This is not like the various woke clothing companies or that wacko spice guy or ben and gerry's. This was at most, two people. The dumbest boycott in the history of boycotts
Bud Light clearly made a concerted effort in its marketing to distance itself from its own customer base.

Yea, it takes me soooooo much time to grab the case of beer on the left or right of the Bud Light
that’s why this “boycott” was so devastating, it is very easy for the consumer to just grab the comparable product at comparable price right next to it at any store. no effort required to switch

Bud light was shitty beer to begin with. I honestly thought it was going to hurt them worse than it did, due to its inferiority to begin with.

I was out somewhere and they had $1 bud lights....no one drinking them.

Unless I am somewhere that the beer is already provided, I always purchase a local beer if at all possible.
As someone that likes a cold beer, the advent of local breweries is something I enjoy very much. No matter where you are, if it is even a medium sized city, there is a good chance there is a local beer brewed there, or at least they have local beer from the nearest city that does.
This is a good practice to follow on every product, where possible.

Proof positive that there’s no obtuse like purposefully obtuse. Multi-national billion dollar companies let one person spend millions and change the face of the company all the time right? Just all on their own, nobody knows about it, it just happens. Get real dingus.

The part of my post that you are responding to here has nothing to do with Mulvaney. Their marketing got away from being funny to trying to be the next PBR circa 2005. Not a surprise that their customers turned away.

The Bud Light boycott made people realize there’s so many better cheap beers. Most people aren’t coming back out of principle but also because they’ve found better beer. Bud Light used to be the default cheap beer. We used to grab a pack for a tailgate or whatever. For me it’s Lonestar. It’s a great tasting cheap beer and there’s no reason to ever buy shitty tasting Bud Light again.

Bud Light sucked before that. Modelo seems to have gained though
