Well his manufacturer made a bed he has to lie in.

The whole “it wasn’t approved” bs about the can would be more believable if there was a copy right suit filed. As it stands it appears to be the lie of a desperate company.

Bud Light is a small part of InBev's worldwide sales, so this won't hurt them that much.

Bud Light is a huge part U.S. distribution sales, so people like this dude are the ones taking it on the chin, not the stupid InBev elites.

This would have largely been a nothing-burger if the stupid bitch that did it had not doubled down on it and openly sparred with the customer base.

Yeah, the Bama Budweiser guy should honestly pressure his exalted leadership at the very top to pursue litigation against the people who supposedly "acted on their own without approval" to get some recompense for the losses that will never be recovered.

Can you do that?

I mean, I'm sure you can if the employee does something illegal, but can you sue an employee just for doing something stupid?

No.

It would still have turned out pretty much the same way.

Not saying she helped, but...no.

This is a horrible take. Consumers are making their own decisions about this. A "couple of individuals" aren't deciding for them.

The guy ultimately just rehashes the same excuses..."it was only ine can". Hey pal, you know what you can do if you don't like it? Go into business with another brand.

Bud Light has a stigma now. It’s not going away.

They haven’t.

They make that clear every day they ignore the issue.

They made it abundantly clear when the marketing person who started this “brilliant” campaign dug in her heels and insulted the loyal customer base.

They continued to make it clear when they didn’t fire that marketing exec, but instead gave her a paid vacation.

They can demonstrate that they have “learned a lesson” by actually taking accountability for their actions and apologizing.
