Australia showed exactly why we need military grade weapons

My response is that no matter how many children get shot up in our schools (and it appears 14 died in that Texas school today), half this country will scream from the rooftops about their right to own a god damned arsenal of military-grade weapons.
It's more than half.

And so, tough shite, no matter how many kids get slaughtered. We aren't going to do a damned thing about it.
This is a pathetic lie.
There are many things that can be done. You just have open your eyes

You realize that most of the transactions at gunshows require a background check? Only private sales don't.

Who gets to decide the warning signs? Do you still get due process? What if a scorned lover turns you in?
Posted on 5/24/22 at 5:47 pm to hubertcumberdale
WTF are you talking about
Is your .270 not a sniper rifle?
why do you own military weapons?
Standard military pistol is p320.. wtf you doing with a 9mm? you hunting deer or humans baw

I think it needs to be easier to involuntarily commit people who show warning signs
That could be a very slippery slope.

Terrible.
BTW, what are the chances that we will find out that he was known to the local mental health authorities, and not a white guy triggered by replacement theory?

The old “gun show loophole” lie.
Gotta give your cult leaders in the democrat party credit, they’ve been selling that lie for three decades and you groomers still believe it.

Absolutely slippery slope. Basically do away with due process.

As a Military veteran (and from the pearl clutching you are doing it sounds like you were a run of the mill pogue) please tell me where an unarmed population hasn’t experienced an ounce of tyranny? Ask a Venezuelan how that has worked out for them. What about an Australian after how their government has treated them during the pandemic. Even better yet ask a Brit what their thoughts are? Darn knives are getting banned there now. You should know better as a Veteran and at least know why our Founding Fathers enumerated the “right to bare arms”.

So an AR15 is now "Military Grade"?
Interesting

At least he gave an only semi retarded answer. The other guy went full retard and advocated for involuntary detainment based of off someone’s opinion of a red flag of some kind.

Can I Buy an M16?
Yes and no. It is, in theory, feasible to obtain an M16 produced for US military use, but those tend to be very costly and involve a great deal of hoops to jump through – we’re talking about firearms produced specifically for our country’s military, after all. However, we know there are plenty of former military service members who prefer the specs of the M16 so, if you don’t want to jump through all those hoops to obtain a legitimate M16, there is a secondary option. It is possible to get a hold of the guidebook with all the of specifications for the M16, and many custom AR parts manufacturers have done just that. So, while it isn’t technically an M16, it is possible to customize an AR 15 to those same military specifications.
quote:
The upside here, since your custom AR isn’t actually government property, is that you can customize your firearm however you choose (within legal limits, of course). If you decide you want an AR 15 made entirely to military specifications and you want to add a KMR handguard to it, you can! This allows you to get the features you expect from a Mil Spec AR 15, but you can tweak or change those couple of features that have annoyed you for ages. Or add additional functionality to customize your AR in the way that makes the most sense for you. Take, for example, handguard options; if you don’t care for the weight of a Picatinny rail system, try the Bootleg Handguard. Our proprietary design is part Picatinny rail, part KMR handguard, so you get reduced weight with military strength materials. Shop online today to see the difference!
seems pretty damn similar

Explain to me like I’m 5 how adding a handrail makes a gun more dangerous.
Essentially that entire wall of text says you can make it “look” like it’s a military weapon but in function, it’s the same damn weapon.

A handguard doesn't make an AR15 an M16.
