Yikes. For the big one, PPP was authorized by Congress passing the CARES Act and signed into law by the President, something the Democrats could have done between 2021 and 2023 when they controlled the House, Senate, and the Presidency but chose not to do.
You missed the sarcasm.

$10,000 is only life changing to cancel for those baristas making $11 an hour
That’s not enough for a down payment on a house or really anything substantial
2 things
1 it is full on pandering
2 if it worked it would be the 1st step and every election cycle would have been more

The PPP loans were ALWAYS marketed as forgiveable loans. Don't rewrite history.

Which is F'n stupid because you didn't hear any D's bitching about the lack of "loan" repayment either.

What about home mortgages and SBA loans?

Gop needs to offer a national education sales tax to cover the expense. Require that be itemized on the sales receipts. Not on food stamp EBT covered items.

But while you're laughing, direct me to the SC case weighing in on the legality of PPP.
The program may have been deemed legal by the Supremes but it does not preclude the program from being a scam and give away to the ownership class in this country.
The program was for the most part a scam and cash grab for the ownership class that was not affected by Covid at all.
Keep simpin for the ownership class though. I'm sure that wealth will trickle down one of these days.

The SC didn't say he couldn't pay off SL debt. Just he was doing it illegally. He needs to enact congress the correct way if he wants this to happen.

The president will make clear he’s not done fighting yet and will announce new actions to protect student loan borrowers.
Now that's an idea

Democraps want to shield people from their own stupid decisions -whether abortion, loan forgiveness etc.
and it's a great way to buy votes

Lots of these businesses were driven to the point of bankruptcy by government covid mandates. No one forced any student to take college loans.

The hypocrisy of Republican elected officials is stunning. They had no problem with billions in pandemic-related loans to businesses – including hundreds of thousands and in some cases millions of dollars for their own businesses
Got to love this old hypocritical mofo. They picked and chose what businesses had to be shut down, put people in jail if they did not succumb. Then forced businesses to make employees get the clot shot or be shutdown. Kicked people out of the military over it. But then to say it’s hypocritical for them to get loans to stay afloat for something they caused???
Frick I hate democrats, cause problems and then act like they are doing the world a favor for trying to come up with a solution that they 100% caused.

The liberal argument regarding Covid relief money especially PPP makes zero sense with the ruling. The ruling says that congress most pass the relief, which is what happened during Covid.

Alessandra Biaggi
@Biaggi4NY
In 2012, I graduated from Fordham Law School with $180,000 is student loan debt.
I’ve been paying loans for 11 years. Even paid two of them off completely.
In 2023, my balance is $206,000.

He’s not wrong here. This was also incredibly stupid and has had bad and harmful effects on our economy.
That’s rich. Literally all politicians were screaming that we had to throw money at the problem to make it go away.
Trump would have been lynched if he didn’t “DO SOMETHING!”
It was all a setup, no matter what he did it was wrong.

exactly... it wasn't what was being attempted that was wrong... it was how it was being enacted was wrong
go about the process... write up a bill and put it in front of congress and get everyone on the record with their votes
but noooooo... let's do something even Nancy Pelosi knew was unconstitutional (which became part of the Opinion of the Court) and then try to blame the conservative majority on SCOTUS when they do their jobs and properly limit POTUS's power
