Make up your mind.
Sorry, I misjudged you. I thought you were intelligent enough to navigate around a little hyperbole.
Noted for the future.

She needs to have MAGA signs in those windows.

That would also be a partial solution.
The owner probably wishes to avoid alienating any portion of the population over political differences, however. Smart business owners do.

That wasn't hyperbole. That was you spouting off without thinking through your position.

LOL.
You really aren't intelligent enough to handle it, are you?
The comment was a direct response to your question, "Why, how in the world would she ever be able to take it down?"
If my landlord did that, I would take it down, and I would go to his office and tell him what I posted before. Not everyone has the same relationship with their landlord that I do, of course, so that might not be the best course of action for everyone (that's the bit of hyperbole I was talking about), but the comment was never intended to claim that she had the legal right to take it down and the landlord would be powerless to put it back up. That's what you are moronically attempting to claim at this point. I even specifically said the opposite when it was clear that it confused you.
I will say that nothing would happen to her if she did take it down except that she might have to pay someone to put it back up if she couldn't hang it herself. So taking it down to make a point might or might not be the thing to do in any specific case (it would be in my case, with my landlord), we all agree that she doesn't have the legal right to take it down, but unless you want to go full retard this morning (and you might, we'll see, you're well on your way right now and show no signs of wanting to turn back) we probably also agree that nothing would come of her taking it down except possibly having to put it back up.
I have to go do some things that are far more important than discussing this obvious non-issue with you this morning. Like pick my teeth with a matchbook or something.
So enjoy your descent into Short Bus Land this a.m. I trust you can get there without me.

Sure. That's why you typed out a novella.
You got called out on your idiocy. Deal with it versus digging deeper.

That’s what I was thinking.

What she needs to do is move when the lease is up. Let the landlord sit on an empty building.
Posted on 7/19/24 at 10:44 am to Major Dutch Schaefer
So the landlord has a potential tenant that is willing to pay more and he needs to get her out, but thus far cannot. So why not decrease the foot traffic....or he wants to sell the property. In Tennessee I would say this motivation is not beyond the realm of possibility for hanging a big Biden sign
Posted on 7/19/24 at 10:48 am to Major Dutch Schaefer
Probably trying to keep her from exercising her lessee renewal option so he can get a higher rent so decided to kill her business.
Posted on 7/19/24 at 10:48 am to Godfather1
How can she do that when she owns neither the building nor the sign? Do any of you actually read the posted articles?

I was in Atlanta a couple of weeks ago and they have Biden signs everywhere. They are in big billboards and on top of taxis.
Good. We want Biden to use up that $240 million before they dump him.

She has no legal right to destroy or remove the landlords property.
Are you privy to the terms of their lease? A lot of leases for business space will have terms about signage on the building. I'm guessing hers doesn't or she would have already gone down that road, but without seeing the lease you have no idea whether she has the right to remove the sign.

Yeah, I wonder if she has grounds for suing. This is definitely a garbage move by the business owner. Is he trying to destroy her business?

But I do believe she has a very strong case that the landlord is interfering in and damaging her business. The problem is she will likely be out of business much before there would be any type of resolution..

I am not familiar specifically with Lenoir City, TN. But I do know there are very few older small southern towns with a thriving downtown. Many are dying. Most already have plenty of empty space, businesses are definitely not fighting over it.
