If there's blackrock, vanguard, state street, Blackstone, etc it sounds like there's plenty of competition and thus no monopoly to break up.

quote:This is pure nonsense. You really think they can own 60% of all residential property by 2028 (a few short years away)? Where do they stand right now and how many homes would they have to acquire to reach 60%?

This might be the dumbest thread on PT

Well yeah, absolutely.
Kings have a conscience. And also, they can be deposed if things go wrong. These billionaire investor groups have no conscience and can’t be held accountable.
They’re the ultimate result of all our own greed, being used against us. It’s not a fight we can win, because there is no one to fight.
I can’t imagine a possible solution to this other than all of us becoming less materialistic.

You just tell them they’re deposed and they go home?

What did I exaggerate?
I don't have a dog in this fight, other than responding to more fear porn.

When you (the OP) have to exaggerating
...
What did I exaggerate?
But to add to your point, and as I said earlier, Blackrock is not a direct SFRR manager ... not 70%, not 7%, not 0.7%. Blackstone was in the SFRR business, but no longer is.

You're right. I should have read his post more carefully.
