Black students don’t feel welcome at ‘Hispanic-serving institutions,’ study finds

However, higher education in general has a racist history, according to the University of New Mexico scholars who wrote the study.

“Conceptualizing Anti-Blackness at a Hispanic-Serving Institution,” includes interviews with black students who attend one of these colleges.

“To qualify as a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI), an institution must be an accredited degree-granting college or university with enrollment of at least 25% full-time equivalent undergraduates who self-identify as Hispanic,” the study explains.

The authors include Brandi Wells-Stone, who directs “African-American Student Services” at the University of New Mexico. Her employer is a Hispanic-serving institution.

They argue that while racism existed from the beginning of higher education in America, it still exists today. “Unfortunately, anti-Blackness has continued to permeate[colleges] into the 21st century. Today, anti-Blackness in U.S. [colleges studies includes the institutionalization of Black suffering.”

As would be expected, the paper is hodgepodge of critical race theory-laden language: black student suffering, the reader is told, includes “racial microaggressions, tokenization, psychological torments leading to imposter feelings, unequal labor distributions, [and] curriculums that lacks Black contributions.”

Great, let's see how regular Jose Hispanics enjoy the forced pandering to them.

The way leftists look at black people is the same way mom's look at their retarded kids - Don't pick on them because they are fragile!

Alternate headline: Black students interact with Hispanics for the first time and realize what actual racist people are like.

Should be of absolutely 0 surprise to anyone who has hung around actual Hispanics/

Black people don’t feel welcome anywhere. Doesn’t stop them from ruining theaters, malls, restaurants, and other institutions with their loudness, whining, violence, and entitlement.

What if we all had places apart from each other and maybe there was some law that made sure each place was at the same level of quality across all groups

Black people being dissatisfied with other races? I don't believe it!

Some people collect baseball cards, others collect grievances.

I side with the Mexicans over the blacks typically. They at least mostly want to work and provide a better life for their families

Conversely, I can't help but wonder how welcome Hispanic students feel at any HBCU

If only there were AfAm serving institutions... they could even have a cute acronym.. like, say, HBCUs.

Truth is black people are becoming less welcome due to fatigue. If they would get their shite together, maybe things would change.
