I honestly think there is a lot of support for the Republicans secretly from most black americans. Your thoughts??
Basically, if you're a black person with a job and getting paid at least maybe $40k+/year, and you grew up with two parents who both worked, paid taxes, and never went to jail, you're probably a Trump supporter and voting R.
And this is probably only around 25%-30% of blacks, unfortunately.
Black voter turnout for 2016 was only 59.6% (was 65.3% for Obama). I suspect it will be slightly higher in 2020. Maybe around 62%.
Hillary got 89% of the black vote and Trump got 8%. Look for Trump's 8% to quite possibly reach ~20%.
His poll approval among blacks has gone from about 11% to around 35%.
However, if Dems nominate Kamala Harris, the turnout will probably hit 65% again and Trump will be hard pressed to reach 15% of the black vote. Sad, but just look at 2008 and 2012 to understand that's simply the case.

I know it's anecdotal, but there isn't a black person in my office that will vote for Trump. It's the hive mind.

From what I’m gathering the bulk of the Black vote for Trump is males under age 50. Black women are still voting over 95% Dim.

sdog38 Trump just needs to go on and completely decriminalize weed (so banks can operate and work with growers and dispensaries) and he'll win by an even larger margin than last time. He'll get more young voters and minority voters. It really isn't that hard to understand.
Hell, why should Trump stop with decriminalizing weed, might as well support abortion, open borders, and the NWO/Globalist agenda too.

He will get 25% or more.

Trumps turnout with Blacks will heavily be influenced by Democrats. If they choose Kamala, the black male turnout will be very high for a Republican President (probably highest ever).
If they stick with Biden, then it's a toss up. Either way increases his gains with Black men. I seriously doubt he wins enough black women by any considerable margin.

Because unlike your other examples, there is no constitutional basis for forbidding a substance/herb for the sake of moral concerns.

Black people will never support RINOs. They would, however support Republicans who fully adopted a Trump agenda.
I believe that Trump will be able to convert a significant number of independent minded black men. By significant - I don’t Jean a majority- but enough to make Democrats lose.
I continue to believe that black males are underserved and taken for granted by the Democrat Party, and I believe they should be as sought after by Rs as soccer moms in the 90s. Republicans would be stupid to ignore this as an opportunity- and the Republican establishment is stupid- so it’s a distinct possibility.
Those guys will never vote lockstep republican though unless the R party fully commits to a Trump agenda, and shakes off the Paul Ryan’s of this world. Mitt Romney will inspire as many black men as he did Evangelical white people.

What can the GOP offer black folks?
Posted on 9/9/19 at 7:43 pm to Bossbailey34
I understand the blacks voting for Hillary. They loved the Clintons for some reason. But I can’t see them being excited to go out and vote for Elizabeth Warren no matter how much free shite she promises.

Smith quote was great.
Paraphrase-
"Black people have been voting democrat so long, the democrats take them for granted, do nothing for them, and the republicans abandon them because they know they won't get their votes no matter what, which means blacks end up with no representation"

Black voters are not a homogeneous group. If any black Americans like chaos and incompetence, they can vote for Trump too.

Too bad that the answer to "voting straight Democrat" is to vote Republican, who are equally worthless to this point

well none of the current dem candidates resonate w blacks. Kamala? she was a fricking DA!

Border security.
Jobs.
Lower taxes.
Higher quality of life through overall economic prosperity.
Criminal justice reform. The #1 killer of black males is other black males. Save innocent black lives by locking up those who consistently fail to play by the rules of society and decency, instead of the revolving doors of the prison system.
Abortion reform. Black babies are the #1 abortion victims. GOP wants to protect those unborn lives.
I could go on, but that's enough to get us started.

The promise that they will offer hope for a self sustaining life rather than dependence on government.
All democrats really want is to stir the emotions of racism and create an entitlement mentality to keep them on the government wagon train.
It's sad.
