Bill Maher will vote for whatever Dim the party trots out just like every other brain dead lib. He may act thoughtful from time to time and the stars occasionally line up where he seems open to voting for someone other than a dim but he won’t and isn’t.

Don’t be fooled by Maher. Come election time, he will monologue about the evilness of the Republican candidate and worship the Democrat. Every. Single. Time.
Maher WANTED this. Just because he says something completely sane once in a while doesn’t mean he will be a part of the solution. Look at California. Their governor is as incompetent as they get and they still support him.

Read the whole thread and agree with the others on the point that don't confuse his talking point "wisdom" with his support for the party. He'll always support dims during elections.
At most, I think he may be seeing the crazy train heading off the rails and is trying talk some sense into it to get it back to 'normal' dim policies.

Look, I get the hate Maher receives, and most of it is deserved. But, he did have Ron and Rand on his show, and he did tell Schiff he was awful to his face.
Maher is a lib, but has ALWAYS been free speech, and he is prob aghast at what he helped create (modern day wokeism). If you watch the new rules segment in the OP, he states something about being so woke, you’ve come full circle to brown shirts in the 30’s, and every single poster will agree with that statement.
The movement against modern day totalitarianism needs allies, and like it or not, Bill is an ally we all need.

I'm not a fan of Maher's politics in general, but he does stick to his guns most of the time when it comes to old school liberalism. I don't agree with changing the current national anthem, but I can agree to disagree with him on that.

That’s a good quote for sure BUT as an aside one thing that always rubs me wrong is the word “stupider”…it just sounds off. I know it technically can be used but to me “dumber” is the variation of “stupid” which sounds better when used in a comparison sense.

To be honest I agree with him. The Star Spangled Banner is a decent poem but a terrible song. It’s additionally based off of a British drinking song, so it’s somewhat treasonous in nature. There are three better options: God Bless America, America the Beautiful, and (my personal choice) Battle Hymn of the Republic

No, he was responding to the guest that said the national anthem is racist. He replied, that he agrees that the anthem should be changed but that 2 anthems isn't the answer.

i don't think liberals like Maher are the problem. Him, along with the John McWhorter's of the world, (despite their dislike towards conservatives) are at least trying to raise awareness of the problems on the left.
i think the most problematic are the moderate liberals that either A. go along with (or buy into) the woke agenda or B. are blind to the woke agenda and the divisiveness that it causes. Sadly, a majority of dems/liberals fall into one of these categories. That's why our nation is so fricked right now.
