Bill Maher says it like we have been saying. Not calling out obesity has been a disaster

Yes, there are numerous things I don’t agree with Maher about. Hard to argue with this though

How would you call it out on a nationwide level? No one wants to go back to those days, and it would be politicized like everything else. Democrats and Republicans are obese, which means it’s something the country can’t agree on.

And how would you define it? Would you ban most of the NFL’s O-Linemen? Surely wouldn’t want to be promoting 300+ pounders on national tv every week

Every Covid discussion by every medical professional should start and end with this issue. No way should we be held back by political correctness. It is our obligation to state the fact as it is.

All of my family members that work in the medical field have said this from the beginning. Obesity is the biggest risk factor. And they’ve seen it personally.

Sometimes reality hurts your feelings. I loved drinking but it was killing me so I stopped. Fatties love shiting on smokers/alcoholics/drug addicts/gamblers but if you dare say anything to them it's because you are a heartless a-hole.

Every time somebody asks “why are other countries handling it better?”, I wanna look at them and do the James Harden “walk away” gif. Quit being frickin gluttons, assholes!

"But you don't know how hard it is. It's easy for you to lose weight."

Bitch, I wake up every day before 5 and sweat my balls off. Fatties always think that because they don't see your hard work, that it was easy.

You just don’t celebrate it. You get back to having clothing models a size worth striving for.

"Get decent food into poor neighborhoods."

We tried that Bill, they threw it all away. Poor people prefer 15 tacos from jack in the box over a bowl and oatmeal with a side of carrots and celery.

You can eat better and eat less. Poor people just prefer to eat more and eat worse.

Yep, but as you can see as long as it's someone different than them, they're no different than anyone else.

Mom: “but underneath all that weight is a beautiful girl!...”

No one has to be morbidly obese. No one. It’s a choice. It’s like a friend says, “you never saw pictures of fat folks in the prison camps”

It's because of carbs and processed sugar. The food pyramid (aka more settled science that was complete fricking bullshite) has been a disaster. It's completely wrong, and now the people who are making money off making the foods and "treating" the sick don't want things to change and kill their revenue streams.

I can spot a food stamp reciepient almost immediately when I go shopping.Their carts are almost always filled to the top with junk food including multiple frozen pizzas and chips along with the obligatory orange or fruit soda and there's plenty of healthy options a couple of aisles away.

They are saying it amongst themselves, believe me. Political correctness kills.

We’re so fat our view of “normal” has been distorted. Like the mother who lost her 22 and 20 year old children to Covid. She said they were perfectly healthy outside of being home bound due to obesity. Oh, that’s all?

Exactly, was in the grocery last week behind a Hispanic women and her daughter. Cart had at least (6) two liter cokes, Kool aid, little debbies, chips, and some other processed crap. Mother was at least 50lbs over weight and the daughter (probably 12) was not far behind.

That is definitely why some countries are doing much better. Most Scandinavian countries and Asians have far less obesity within the populations.
