This shows more about the old guard GOP being Democrat light than it does about anything else.
The GOP was never “conservative” the majority of elected people in the GOP have been Democrat light pretenders.

Cool story. It tells you he was never really a conservative. If he was, he'd have gone independent. Or he'd have continued calling out his own party and trying to "clean his own house" so to speak.
But no true conservative can simply swap sides and claim to be a democrat. One can only hope he gets a huge platform and becomes a voice for that party. Because if he ever truly considered himself a conservative, he will soon learn that he doesn't have a home over there either, and he will be a problem for them.

kristol is a neocon. they float to wherever they can get power. just like neocon charles krautheimer was a former speechwriter for walter mondale. he floated over to fox and became so powerful that he pretty much defined what conservatism was.
