Begs a different question IMHO…
Was the media push of “Hillary is invincible!” because they wanted to believe it or because the polling and so forth Tram Hillary had and was sharing with them suggested it?
The whole thing comes of as a “black swan” event where everything exists one way until it doesn’t, though the reasoning for the “it doesn’t” makes sense in hindsight.
Hillary with 95% confidence of winning the election up until she suddenly loses states like Pennsylvania which shouldn’t happen and ends up losing.

I remember in 2016 thinking how easily the old horndog would have defeated Trump, and you're right that really all they had to do was listen to him, and even Hillary pulls it out--a very fair assumption given Trump's slender margins in key states. But they were young, smart, and knew better ...

So many incredibly mind boggling decisions made by the people running Hillary’s campaign. Love him or hate him, Bill fricking Clinton has more political talent and acumen in his pinky toe than any of those young, nerdy, and out of touch strategists. And I say that as someone who despises him.
