If we end up with 54 in the senate and the next election looks safe to keep us in control then as ugly as it is not voting or crossing over might need to happen to remove the cancer from our party.

Personally, I would want someone like Miguez. I just don't know how well he does outside of SW LA. I think it will be Fleming or Higgins.

Im's just not buying him. I'm just not much on his bravado,maybe I would have to meet him probably, but I am all in on making sure Cassidy is done.

The Democrats are going to seize on the opportunity in 2026 to take what should be a deep red seat. Likely by running JBE who they think (and are probably right) can convince enough Republicans in the state to vote for him against a very unpopular GOP senator.
Hopefully the LA GOP doesn't have its collective heads up their asses and is working now to make sure Cassidy doesn't even get out of the primary (or run at all). If not, it will be the 2015 Governor's race all over again where JBE had no business winning but for Vitter being the opponent. Once he became the incumbent that turned into an 8 year problem.
I'm no Jeff Landry fan (he's a moron trying be a pretend Trump), but I think this is a spot where his vindictive nature could be a benefit if he can knife (metaphorically, of course) Cassidy before 2026 to prevent him from ever becoming a problem.
