Trump needs to lay off the "black job" comments and the whole thing about Kamala's ethnicity because that doesn't really matter. I'm voting for the guy, but he's making it hard on himself to win.

This is likely because it is very rare to see black males in gymnastics competitions. It has nothing to do with not wanting to see people from other ethnicities there. If I'm not mistaken, he attends an SEC school.
He said that he wants to use his platform to "inspire kids that look like him." Inspire. They'd still have to do the work, attend the training, and go through the discipline it takes to be a gymnast, and compete and win.

He said he wants to inspire kids that look like him. He was very specific.
Like I said, I’ll give him a pass because he’s young and impressionable but I don’t support only the athletes that “look like me” so expect them to use their position to inspire all kids.
Out of curiosity what do think he means “look like him”? Muscular? Lean? All his digits, arms and legs?
Or is it just the same skin tone? And if it’s just the same skin tone then why the frick doesn’t he just go ahead and say that?
