Even that is pure bunk. People here in NYC who use electric power to heat their apartment, heat their hot water and cook with, pay 5 or 6 times that compared to those who use natural gas.

Everyone is mind controlled. The money spent in the Ukraine could have been used to harden the power grid.
The country could have become an energy exporter. Utilities would have been affordable for all.

I'm on all electric except my wood stove in the winter. My bill was only 300 bucks and I'm always running a lot of shite for my farm and equipment like air compressors, chargers for about 10 different batteries, shop fans, etc.
If you don't like your rules, your outrageous cost of living, your insurance premiums, etc then move.

That saving is about as real as Biden's 81 million voters.
As noted before, we have a two apartment rental unit that shares the same gas furnace. It's about 3,000 sq. ft. and the heat and hot water bills average around $300 per winter month to be toasty warm.
My wife's friend's one bedroom apartment with electric heat costs her well over $500 for a not so toasty 6oo sq. ft.

Not only that, when the only thing available is electric, it will be more expensive. Removing resources from the market usually makes the things that stay in the market more expensive. That alone probably knocks out the “savings” they are claiming.
