The company I work for ($450mm) is down about 25% in revenue YOY. Our CEO, from day one of Covid, made it clear that no one would be laid-off as long as they were working hard. Rest assured, corporate taxes go up, etc, that promise will be broken. What idiot thinks now is a great time to raise taxes on employers?

Yep. All of those billion-dollar international corporations whose media are on the 24/7 attack against Trump are doing it to make the rich pay their "fair share". I'm sure known Trump critics like Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Mark Zuckerberg and Michael Blomberg are consistency critical of Trump so they can pay their "fair share".
Those who fall for this crap don't understand our tax code or why the reforms Trump tried to enact pissed off so many of these "super-wealthy". The left always uses expressions like "fair share" and "working families" but it's the small and mid-sized private business that are destroyed in a democrat administration while the rich get richer and the public sector gets fatter. Washington DC should never be the wealthiest place in the nation, yet it was under Obama.
Let THAT sink in.

Unless you have the audacity to save for retirement. If you contribute to a 401K and are in the top bracket, your taxes increase because we replace what was a deduction that lowers your liability by $370 for every $1000 you save with a credit that lowers your liability by $260.

Call me OT poor, but I don't make 400k a year. If he repeals the TCJA, my taxes will go up to what they were before. Which is in fact, no bullshite, a tax increase on someone making less than 400k/yr.

So what’s the point if he is only going to raise taxes on those making over 400,000?
It’s not to raise enough money to cover his programs because the amount won’t put a dent in anything.
So the point has to be class warfare and nothing more. Same script Obama used. Problem is, it works. This stuff works at creating resentment. They think that if someone makes over 400,000, they’re evil rich people....
