Yeah, hell of a clarification there Biden. Glad you didn’t bring this up on the campaign trail that half of Americans could see a tax increase. Also hell of an incentive for people to get married now. fricking jerkoff.

Why the war on marriage? Does every crime statistic increase in single family homes, especially if there’s no father present. It should be the opposite, an incentive like crazy to be married. This makes no fricking sense.
The whole point of filing jointly is the basically spread your earning out to keep you in a lower tax bracket.
It stems back to when states were fricking up their inheritance and family laws by trying to add community property so a husband could cut his tax liability in half.

I’ll say this,
It says filing jointly. You do not have to get a divorce to avoid this.
It does frick up the benefits of filing jointly for people making good money.

So you are telling me that I do not have to go through the headache of planning a wedding, pay for the costs of a wedding, and my taxes will not go up. However if I go through the headache and hell of planning a wedding and pay for said wedding and open bar then my taxes go up. Well that settles it. I am buying a new boat instead of a ring.
