How about preventing hedge funds and companies like Blackrock from buying up everything.

How about both?

How about give us our money back from the USAID/NGO’s scam they’ve been running for the past 112 years, since the FEDERAL RESERVE was ILLEGALLY FORMED.

Until the FED is ABOLISHED, justice is not served, and refund our money.

There's housing all over this country, the problem is everyone has to live in bloated mega cities for work.

The push away from remote work because of the lazy few and antiquated work views of boomers have fricked us on affordable housing and being able to live in small towns again

Seems more likely he’s trying to wrap democrats around the axle in regards to the California fire rebuilds.

Seems like Trump just wants to declare everything an emergency. Dude is wild.

A lot of humor defending the exemption to a tax he created.

It sucks... but seems the only way to get anything done. Might as well not even have congress critters.

Bessent: Trump may declare national housing emergency ... the White House is exploring options such as standardizing zoning codes, lowering closing costs, and even granting tariff exemptions for construction materials.

Gosh. Why didn't anyone, anyone, tell us that tariffs would make things more expensive? No one could have possibly foreseen that broad tariffs on steel, lumber and building materials would make homes more expensive and disproportionately screw working class people. No one even mentioned that this was possible.

Of course it's an emergency! Trump's moronic policies have caused an emergency that makes basic living more expensive for everyone.

Let me make a prediction. Whatever "cure" they come up with will make it worse.

Let’s break it down:

quote:

The Trump administration does not want to override state and local control,

Cool.

quote:

but Bessent suggested the White House is exploring options such as standardizing zoning codes

No.

quote:

lowering closing costs

No. See Dodd-Frank.

quote:

and even granting tariff exemptions for construction materials.

Should have been done before they started.

The last thing I want is the federal government dictating zoning codes. Anyone who supports federalism should be against this. Zoning is one of the last few local governing tools left in America.

I don't believe so... I think I'm on the MAGA train and I have found issues I disagree with in the Administration. My only "thing" is I've learned to wait and see with Trump and his policies.

Beat me to it.

You know how doctors interfere with your body by prescribing medications for every little ache and hiccup, and those medications have side effects, and then they give you more medicine for the side effects of the first medication they gave you?

That's exactly what this is.

The only difference is that it's a preemptive strike to hide the inevitable results of his tariffs.
