The average cashier at McDonald's would have to work for 895 years to make what the company's CEO makes in one year. That is insane.

Bernie calls it insane, but my question is: why is it insane? What he doesn’t realize is he boomed himself in the tweet. He is chastising McDonald’s for not paying workers more, but doesn’t explain why the company is forced to pay so much to retain a ceo. If companies make money by holding down the pay of those at the bottom, why don’t they also seek to make money by holding down the very high ceo pay?

And there's about 895 years worth of difference in responsibility and work requirements too.

One can be replaced by a kiosk, the other cannot.

Funny considering what senators make, what benefits they receive, all of the bloat and pork, etc.

Bernie the pandering clown strikes again.

The CEO might just respond to him with more of these:

This is just extortion from Bernie, telling McDonalds to start donating money or face the wrath.

I don't see Bernie voting to pay himself $8/hr. Why should a Senator make more than a McDonald's cashier?

Bernie Sanders makes more than I do and he's just some government official. That's insane.

Pay all fast food workers six figures a year; and free college, free houses, free tampons, free rubbers, free everything!

Bernie makes 4x the average of his constituents. Why is that fair?

These people's definition of rich is always people that make more than them.

Bernie should sell a couple of his houses and fancy cars and disperse those funds to McDonald's cashiers.

I remember when people actually thought Bernie was one of the most honest candidates in history, and it turns out he's greedy and retarded.

Senator Sanders may just be the biggest con man in US history.

He makes Madoff look like a choir boy.

This is the real question.

If Bernie wants to help balance things out, I’ve read that he has substantial assets that would allow him to make many, many McDonald’s cashiers happy.

But Bernie’s goal is to fuel class warfare and drum up votes, not make a real difference.

after dropping out and letting the herturn witch reign...

Bernie Sanders recently purchased a lakefront home that is earning him criticism because of its cost.

Sanders was defeated in the Democratic primary by Hillary Clinton, and he earned a following for his fiery defense of low-income workers and for his income equality platform.

The new home – his third – is located on an island in Lake Champlain, said The Washington Post, and it cost three times the average home price in Vermont. The Post says Sanders and his family intend to use the property as a vacation home.

Sanders’ House is Worth More Than Half a Million Dollars
