Bernie earned over $1,000,000 in a year. That same cashier would have to work 57 years to earn a million. That seems fair.

Two points:
The pay of the highest earners like CEO bares no correlation to economic success of the middle and lower classes in a capitalist system.

There are over 14,000 McDonalds in the U.S.. That means he makes as much as around 7% of U.S. Mcdonalds cashiers combined. When you consider without leadership and branding none of those cashiers have a job, I'd say the pressure the CEO faces is well worth that pay.
