Ben,

My wife delivered my 2nd baby and 1st son in to this world yesterday. As I sit here and watch him, I can’t help but think that as your journey comes to an end, another is just beginning. We are simply passing through. As much as I love my son and daughter, I know that one day we will all face the end, just as you are now. I just want you to take notice in how many people have been following your journey and praying for you. I hope that when you are called home that Jesus is waiting for you with the same excitement and enthusiasm as we had with our son yesterday. That he can’t wait to wrap you in his arms and tell you how long he has waited for this moment to see you and show you everything he has prepared for you.
We love you Ben and will be praying for you and your family. Godspeed brother and remember that we aren’t far behind. WWG1WGA

I love you Ben. Thank you for your friendship and for your courage during the fight of your life. Mrs Pimp and I bow our heads in prayer and meditation again today for you, that you have acceptance and peace before your next journey begins. Peace and infinite compassion awaits.

Ben
Prayers sent up for you and your family as well. I hope you look to God for the comfort that only He can provide during these times ahead. People are what is important and our time here is very short. We get focused on the unimportant things all too much. Thanks for sharing your journey with us here. I hope everyone here has been some comfort for you. My prayer now is that you know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Your sharing here has been a help to me because my brother has Stage Four colon cancer that spread to his lungs and liver. God Bless You and your family.

I get so frustrated talking about this subject. This is 2019 and we are still losing people in big numbers to this scourge, and not doing enough about it IMO.

We have thrown untold numbers at it, and yes we have made a lot of progress, but not enough, not nearly enough. People like Joe Biden talk big, but do NOTHING. Obama put him in charge before, and now he promises a cure if we do it again.

Just shut up Joe. It's time to end this. Stop talking and get serious. Put a serious man or woman in charge of a moon landing level program to end Cancer, once and for all. Organize the efforts and put the money where it is getting results. Crash program, we CAN do this and we MUST.

I can understand your frustration at the pace of progress. But, I'm not sure you have a firm grasp on the complexity of what you're asking. For instance, not all Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer's (NSCLC) are the same. My wife is now in a clinical trial of a new chemotherapy specifically aim at her EGFR or HER2 Exon 20 Insertion mutation (a type of genetic change) that wasn't available when she was first diagnosed in 2017.

I am fully aware of the complexity. Cancer is not one disease. I would like to take an all out approach to it, vastly increase funding, cut red tape where it hinders progress, get the damn bureaucrats out of the way and get experts in charge, speed up the process where we can.

Same commitment we had to say The Manhattan Project or the Moon Landing.Whatever it takes End this. We can and should do a lot more.

I do understand the complexity, I do. But others would step in if we lead. We could speed up the pace of progress against all types of Cancer and we should be doing this. Lives are at stake. Now and in the future.
