Worked with an Engineer who happened to mention that he was currently dating a girl who voted for Obama.
Proceeded to tell him to watch for other little indicators such as her overall world vision and level of emotionalism.

When discussing potential suitors and how you’d limit them based on political preferences, it’s very relevant to mention you’re fat and old.

A few years ago I was in a six month relationship with a woman who was as far to the left as I was to the right. We agreed early on not to discuss politics - We never lived together so we didn't have constant contact. Her BJs were out of this world, but she couldn't help herself eventually trying to show me the error of my ways. We separated, but still phone each other on occassion to keep up.

And this is how you do it. Just don't discuss personal politics with each other. Lifestyle choices are an entirely different matter and should be front and center of a relationship. But, I could care less if a woman votes blue, green etc. If the only thing we disagree on is politics then we are compatible enough, and we'll just avoid each other on Election Day.
