You have to step back a little. Stanley Ann Dunham (his mom) supposedly married B O Sr although come to find out he was still married to a woman in Africa. She divorced and then married Lolo Soetoro who took his little family back to Indonesia and adopted B O. When that marriage failed, Stanley sent little B O to live with her parents while she did noble(!) work in several places since little B O would have better opportunities for schooling.
