Of course it could have been negotiated from the beginning, it wasn’t about that.

Whenever the conversation is about Epstein or something he doesn’t like, he manufactures a crisis that he can negotiate his way out of!

TACO to the rescue type of deal

What, am I to be impressed or even heartening that Trump creates bullshite???? We had access to Greenland anyway, the Danes weren't saying no to using the place, they just don't want to be strong armed with a forced sale.

You guys just want the drama and confrontation. The producers could not have written a more compelling script. Mark Barnett getting paid handsomely.

None of this reads as we get Greenland… if that were the case, we’d be negotiating with Denmark, not NATO.

This seems more along the lines of we may get more bases and or other nations countries agree to also have a presence there.

Guess we will see.

I like how Trump is America First on foreign policy in terms of our own hemisphere, specifically Greenland and Venezuela. Monroe Doctrine Plus in effect.

I voted for this.

As I predicted, we got something that we already have and the usual suspects are here to claim that this was the greatest deal in the history of the universe and you're a commie cuck if you don't agree

I've figured him out. He always asks or demands a lot more than he will accept. This deal will be to the benefit of us, Denmark, and Nato.

The art of negotiating is overasking and then accepting what you wanted all along. He's a master at it. Curious to see how this sorts out.

Is this winning? This seems like winning.

Trump is a yuuuge liar though I’m not nearly tired of winning.

I suspect that it provides the US with more autonomy. Mark Halperin had a recent video about this. Trump is tired of the Europeans forming committees and having 50 meetings to make a decision. He wants to be able to move quickly. If he started with the traditional let’s get together and negotiate the old fashioned way, this would have dragged on for years.

He literally wrote about this in The Art of the Deal over 30 years ago. The fact that people still haven’t figured this out is ridiculous. And by the way, this is how business, not government, actually works.

Of course. Greenland as a U.S. Territory avoid all the BS we would have to go through with Denmark and the E.U. to establish a deep water port to dock our subs.

So what deal did he secure exactly? Exactly what we have now? Freedom to have a military presence there?

The dude negotiated the deal that we already had… there’s no art of the deal here.

He wants bases and missiles there, Denmark already lets us have facilities there.

I think it will 100 years, maybe even partial ownership type bargain.
