It doesn't work and won't work on DeSantis, though. He went on Ben Shapiro's show and said that he has talked to several people from blue states (NY, NJ, etc.) that have moved to Florida over the last year and a half. These voters are not conservative, but they were sick and tired of having their businesses shut down and their kids not being in school. DeSantis was able to articulate that those policies were related to what they had voted for. These people told him they don't agree with everything in the GOP platform but they will be voting GOP from now on.
Florida moved to the right in 2020, and the scary thing is that there's more room to grow, as there were approximately 200K voters who voted for at least 1 down-ballot R but didn't vote for Trump.
DeSantis is very articulate and the people from blue states moving to FL aren't buying into the media BS. DeSantis also doesn't fall into the media's traps and constantly step on his dick like Trump and others have done.

And you can say the same for people moving from Cali etc.
And people can't hate on this all they want, but desantis carries the suburban women and shouldn't alienate anyone that's not firmly on the other side already.
This is a no brainer

I'm not sure why everyone is arguing about suburban voters and turning voters off, etc.

Flat out, as of right now, DeSantis is the better candidate for 2024. JMHO. Some of you need to deal with the fact that Trump has competition for 2024. Either deal with it, or take your ball and go home.

Aside from not fully understanding the depth of the Swamp until it was too late, this was Trumps biggest flaw. Sometimes he needed to just STFU and let the positive outcomes of his policies do the talking.

You’re over hear acting like suburban woman cost Republicans the election but you fall to realize the most important thing. Trump won soooo HUGE he broke their fckg algorithms to cheat!
